Chapter 191 - self centered

I ran out of the dining hall and almost collided with Lily, who had been waiting outside the entire time. The moment she saw me, she quickly draped a cloak over my shoulders, making sure it covered my dress.

"My lady..." Her voice was gentle, but I couldn't bring myself to answer.

My eyes were burning, almost completely red. I refused to let the tears fall, but they lingered stubbornly at the corners of my eyes.

I just wanted air. I needed to breathe.

Without saying another word, I walked past her and headed toward the training grounds. The cool night breeze brushed against my face, but it did little to calm the storm raging inside me. My thoughts replayed everything that had happened at dinner.

He lied to me. He hid the truth from me.

Yet somehow, I was the one who got thrown out.

I clenched my fists as I continued walking.

The training grounds soon came into view. I looked around instinctively, hoping to see a familiar figure swinging her sword or sparring with the guards.
