Arabella's Pov
My room was quiet as everyone had since returned to their own rooms. The silence felt almost unnatural after everything that had happened throughout the day.
I sat down on the edge of my bed, my mind replaying every conversation over and over again. It had all started with painful stories, stories that answered some of my questions but created even more. Then everything had gone in a completely different direction.
The last part of our conversation hadn't even happened in the presence of the others.
It happened much later that night.
After Sophia, Lily, and everyone else had retired to their rooms, there had been a knock on my door.
I had opened it, only to freeze in surprise when I saw Linda standing there.
She hadn't said a word.
She simply walked into my room as though she had already made up her mind before coming.
