Lucien walked into the dining hall to meet Enzo. He smiled, already knowing that Enzo might be bored, which was probably the reason he had invited all three of them for his amusement. Well, he wouldn't say he hated it.
"What are you doing here?" Arabella asked quietly when she saw Sophia.
Sophia made an "I don't know" gesture to her before giving her a look that clearly asked, What about you?
"I don't know either. Dinner, I guess," Arabella said.
They both turned toward the dining hall and saw Lucien and Enzo already cracking up about something.
They exchanged a glance, shrugged, and went inside to join them.
Arabella immediately chose a seat as far away from the King as possible. She was not in the mood for him after everything that had happened earlier.
But the King had been watching her from the moment she came in.
His eyes followed everything she did, and when she deliberately chose the seat farthest from him, his expression changed.
