At that moment, he truly regretted it. He regretted wasting so much time to resolve their issues and try to be with her. And seeing Cilia bound like this, he wished he had even taken the King's advice and found a way to settle things with her.
She would have been home now in his kingdom, without having to go through all this mess. He had spent so much time allowing his cowardness and foolishness to stand between them, and now seeing her being held captive in Vealor's hands and unsure if she would survive made him sad at just how much time he had wasted.
