Sophia was seated on the floor in the bedchambers she had been thrown into.
After the battle, she had thought her life was over. When Linda was dragged into the woods, Sophia had accepted her death and prayed to the Moon Goddess to protect Arabella. She had believed the witches would come for her next, and there was nothing she could do to stop them.
But her death never came.
Instead of killing her, the witches bound her tightly, and she couldn't move. She could only remain where she was, helpless as Elara stood there giving out commands. Sophia had watched everything without being able to do anything, and the helplessness had frightened her more than the thought of dying.
Elara eventually came to her quietly and bent down beside her. She tried to touch Sophia's face, but Sophia struggled immediately, trying to move away from her. She couldn't move, however, because the binds around her were too strong.
