" Lucius has just started another war with the elves, with this pattern we think he plans on covetting all of the realm stones." The old man begged before the ancient woman. Her eyes studying his features as if she could read every inch of him easily.
Her mind buzzes with the information while she stared at the feeble old man kneeling at her feet. Marshall kept his eyes bouncing between the faces of the people before him, there was something that he was not getting between the elders and the woman.
Maive looked as if he were enjoying the informational showering around him, while Seth ended up back at the table in a chair uncaring of the new discovery. Marshall however couldn't seem to understand why the elders were begging this woman, if she was who they said she is, they should be locking her away, protecting the world from her.
He was told ghost stories as a kid from old recruits about the vampire king and his queen. They told us that the two crossed countries and brought only misery, death and disease. So why would the elders, some of the men who raised him, want the queen to side with us.
" If I say yes, will you get off the ground" the woman sighed and knelt down to offer a hand to the old man as the other elder glared at her from behind. His body already moving to the aid of his comrade, paused as he sees his friend take her hand. " your body should be cherished at your age" the woman helped him stand easily before adjusting his cloak a bit.
Her seemingly motherly behavior caught the men in the room off guard, besides the oldest who only held her hand and smiled. " Solomon is my name, please follow us this way, we have much more to discuss." he squeezed her hand once more before letting it drop. She seemed guilty almost for having the poor man on his knees.
" Solomon! We can't trust her this easily" the greying elder from behind now loudly objected. " she could be lying and bring the frey to us.." his tyraid was cut off by a small hand raise of Solomon. " Please Raffaele, if you have any other options that will stop the vampire king we would be happy to listen"
The greying man went silent as Solomon smirked at him before turning back to the woman. Marshall had stepped forward as well but was too slow to speak up in time before elder Raffaele spoke up before him. He too was confused as to why the head elder seemed to trust this woman so much.
" Listen here human, if you are able to kill me. Then you can take on Lucius but if you can't then you need to listen to your leader here." Athanasia glared at the disrespectful human. She had been thought as a god once and was treated as such, well most creatures would consider you a god if you never died.
Solomon shook his head, " now now, we don't need to get our hands and floor dirty for no reason. The younger ones have a harder time understanding these days." All the men's heads turn to the elder at the slight towards them. He turns to Marshall, the main one with his mouth open from how the conversation was going.
" Elder Solomon, are you really planning on treating her kindly?" Marshall asked, his chocolate brown hair bouncing a bit at his words. He trots up like the young stallion he is and crosses his arms. " I don't think we should trust her just yet" Marshall continues and stares at the woman.
The old man sighs at the young one, " Marshall there is always a lot more to a person than their family or their past. You young men seem to forget who is currently in charge." Solomon reminds with a stern voice.
The men in the room go still and stand straight at attention. " our organization was made to help those against the unknown. While also helping those of the unknown against our own who wish Them harm. We relocate, we offer peace, and if necessary hatred and violence always come last. I would hope you all remembered that from your entry days."
Athanasia only smiled at the old man as he berated the young ones. She respected good leaders and could tell immediately that Solomon was exactly that. The meaning of the Organization only furthering that notion, she only wished the organization had started earlier, before so much death.
" Now, I will gather the elders for a council meeting, Marshall, I want you and Maiven to escort Athanasia to the womens dressing room so she can find something more comfortable before we meet. Bring her to the council room afterwards." Solomon smiled at the woman before turning and leaving with Raffaele behind him.
The younger of the elders glared daggers at the beautiful woman, something she was sadly accustomed to. Her none beating hearts seemed to race with thoughts of Lucius, a creature worse than any other.
The woman turned on her bare heel to look up at Marshall who still had a confused look on his face. " they sure do make men taller these days" she remarked looking up and down without skipping a beat. Marshall blushed as Maive chuckled and patted him on the back.
" why don't we get going as well, I'm sure you'd like to change and I would sure love some answers for all the questions I have." Maive lights up and moves to stand at the elevator, hooking his arm through the woman's. Marshall moves like a grumpy robot along side him and pushes the button for the doo. He still was unsure what the elders, especially Solomon was thinking but had to follow orders as always.
