"Are you not afraid of death?"
Yuki watched as the young lady, exactly as he expected, failed to control her emotions. He found himself rarely interested enough to tease her.
"Death? What is there to fear? I fear only that I might not die! When my soul returns to the Golden Throne, I shall continue to fight under the Emperor's radiance. At that time, I will surely manifest again to impose His punishment on all who use His name in vain!"
"You... who are you saying uses His name to do evil!"
"Whoever does evil is exactly who I am talking about."
Angel hadn't expected such a reaction from Yuki. From childhood to now, who among those around her hadn't been respectful and subservient? Her face turned pale. Yuno, who had been sitting nearby watching her partner play with the girl, also let out a laugh.
This laugh terrified the onlookers even more. If the slightest thing went wrong, the Inquisitor would truly execute their entire families.
"Fine, I see you aren't that old, so I'll forgive you."
Angel stomped her foot in anger. "Forgive me? Shouldn't it be you seeking forgiveness from me? You were the one who offended me!"
"Heh. If you didn't have that father of yours, you wouldn't survive three hours in the Hive."
"You..."
"Furthermore, you will never earn the admiration or awe of others. They only fear your father."
Angel's expression grew increasingly grim. Her stubbornness and pride as a young girl gave birth to a strange sense of competitiveness.
"Heh. I will make you acknowledge me. I am not someone who only knows how to rely on my father!"
Seeing her get so worked up, Yuki laughed in spite of himself. This 'Eldest Daughter' really was a stereotypical one; he couldn't believe such a character existed in the world of Warhammer. How did this kind of personality, which only appears in idiotic anime, survive until now in the 41st millennium? Even if her father is an Inquisitor, this is a bit too much, isn't it?
"Alright then. What do you plan to do?"
"Hmm. Who are you exactly?"
"Yuki, leader of the Underhive's Yuki Gang. Do you have any ideas?"
Angel's eyes widened instantly. "The Underhive! Are you from the Underhive? I've never been there!"
"Do you want to go?"
As soon as those words were uttered, Angel's guards couldn't hold back anymore. they wanted to stop the young lady from making a terrible decision.
"I want to go! My father has never been willing to let me go!"
Angel's previous dissatisfaction vanished completely. At that moment, her guards were already blocking the exit and heading off to report the situation.
"It seems your father's men won't let you leave so easily."
"Please! I really want to see the Underhive. You don't seem afraid of my father—help me!"
"Didn't you say you wanted to make me admire you?"
"Have you ever seen a child of the upper class so eager to go to the Hive below? I must see with my own eyes what they are like to know what I should do in the future. I want to do something for them!"
"Oh? Hearing those words, I actually have a bit of respect for you now."
Yuki thought for a moment. Inquisitor Borlais was currently giving him quite a headache, but his willful and naive daughter might be able to buy him some time. He looked at the guards at the door. These people would definitely not let Angel leave easily, so...
He smiled slightly and asked Angel, "Do you have a self-defense weapon on you?"
"I have a bolt pistol."
"Lend it to me for a moment."
"Are you going to kill someone?"
"By the Emperor's name, I won't do that unless I am in danger."
Angel didn't know if she should trust this person she had just met, but experiencing the Underhive was her dream. She didn't believe anyone would truly dare to harm the daughter of an Inquisitor!
She handed the bolt pistol to Yuki. The guards were struck with horror, and before they could react, Yuki had already pressed the gun against Angel's cheek.
"Alright. You all know the power of a bolt pistol. Even if you kill me now, I will take Miss Angel with me."
"Eh?" Angel hadn't realized what was happening yet.
"You've been kidnapped, Princess. You'll be at your precious Underhive very soon."
Yuki grabbed Angel, with Yuno guarding their rear, and they quickly ran toward the elevator platform. The people there had clearly received orders not to let them pass. But Yuki and Yuno merely glanced at them and shared a wicked smile. Without stopping, they ran toward another location.
The officials responsible for managing passage between the levels realized what was happening.
"Oh no! They wouldn't be taking the dangerous route, would they?"
"The death rate on that route is seventy percent!"
"Stop them!"
Yuki and Yuno practically carried Angel to the starting point of a smuggling route. Yuno laughed loudly, praising Yuki.
"My love, you are a genius! How did you think of something so fun? Did you see their reactions? Hahahaha!"
Angel couldn't understand Yuno's words. She looked at Yuki with a confused face, and the latter only smiled. "Princess, you are about to witness the first tragedy of the lower-class people."
Appearing before the three was a massive rift, averaging two meters wide, enough to fit three people. At that moment, several people were crawling out of it.
"This rift is over thirty kilometers deep. it's a smuggling route from the Mid-hive to the Spire. These people can only do menial work after entering the Spire, but even so, they earn more than they did before."
"I... I..." Just seeing the depth made Angel's legs go weak with fear.
"Let's go, Princess."
"I want to go home!"
Ignoring Angel's protests, Yuki led her directly into the tunnel, with Yuno following close behind. It certainly wasn't the first time the two of them had used this smuggling passage. Even with a pampered young lady in tow, there was no danger.
Only once, while passing through a wide gorge, Yuno intentionally let go, letting Angel drop about half a meter before catching her. Surprisingly, Angel didn't scream. When they pulled her up, she had already fainted from fright.
In short, after dozens of hours of climbing, they successfully circled around to the Mid-hive. The rest was easy. Yuki and Yuno, familiar with the way, brought the unconscious Angel to the Underhive. Yuki felt a slight pity that Angel hadn't seen the "magnificence" of the Underhive along the way.
However, he still didn't know how much weight this girl carried in Borlais's heart. If the man decided to just lead an army down to crush them, it would be even more troublesome. Yuki realized he might have miscalculated in a moment of impulse.
He prepared to tell Yuno about his unease, but Yuno suddenly hugged him, almost lifting him off the ground.
"This is so fun! Darling, can we play like this more often in the future?"
Well, perhaps this wasn't so bad after all.
