Chapter 121 - Chapter 121: Reunion

Although he didn't want it to happen, reality wouldn't change just because of Mōryō's personal feelings. In the instant that familiar sensation appeared, pain followed. Mōryō felt as if his soul was being torn apart.

And the facts were indeed so. A portion of Mōryō's soul completely vanished under the effect of Kamui, leaving not a single trace.

This was still because Kakashi had only recently awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and wasn't very familiar with applying Kamui, resulting in a slight miss that didn't fully cover Mōryō's soul.

Otherwise, this one strike would have been enough to make Mōryō suffer greatly even if it didn't kill him. After all, even for an immortal monster, damage to the soul was absolutely unbearable.

"As expected, it's Kamui. But it's really quite useful."

Watching Mōryō clearly in a lot of pain, Furina sighed inwardly while speeding up her hand movements again. Since Kakashi had already done his part, she couldn't slack off either...

Just as Mōryō barely recovered from the agony of his soul being torn, he discovered that water curtains had already risen all around him, firmly trapping him within.

If it were just that, it wouldn't be much, but soon Mōryō found that even in his soul state, he couldn't pass through the water curtains. No matter how he attacked, he could only cause ripples on the surface, with no sign of breaking at all.

Mōryō's perception was very sharp. He could sense that the water curtains enclosing him were becoming more and more perfect, and he naturally guessed Furina's purpose.

In such a situation, the long years of being sealed in the past involuntarily surged up, driving Mōryō nearly to madness. Finally, he seemed to make a certain decision.

"Uchiha Madara, I know you're definitely nearby. Didn't you want me to join your organization? Now you've seen my situation. As long as you help me avoid being sealed, I'm willing to join you."

Although he spoke with great certainty, Mōryō couldn't be sure whether that masked man who called himself Uchiha Madara was actually there. But he believed that with his own strength and value, the other party wouldn't easily give up on him.

"Uchiha Madara? It seems his unsealing is somehow related to Obito."

Hearing the name Uchiha Madara, Furina also raised her guard. She knew Uchiha Madara was definitely fake, but Uchiha Obito was no easy opponent either.

"Very well."

Accompanied by the voice, a section of the space within the water curtain seemed to twist in half, forming a vortex similar to Kakashi's Kamui earlier, though Mōryō felt very different about the two.

"I hope you keep your promise."

After revealing himself, to avoid any accidents, Obito didn't say much and directly reached out toward Mōryō's soul. Feeling the suction coming from it, this time Mōryō didn't resist but allowed himself to be absorbed.

After all, for Mōryō, the current situation was already a dead end. The only outcome left besides being sealed was none. In that case, it was better to place a little hope in trusting this masked man.

Because Obito appeared directly near Mōryō's soul and, upon showing himself, didn't act like usual by posturing first but immediately got to work handling Mōryō.

With Mōryō cooperating, the absorption took only an instant. Even Furina didn't have time to interrupt. Afterward, she realized they seemed to have done all the work for the other side for nothing, which left her somewhat displeased.

"We meet again, Uchiha Madara. I didn't expect an old-timer like you to still move so nimbly. Truly vigorous in old age, huh. Ha."
