Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Water Saint-Rank

Thundercloud Accumulation was thus released by Dan Feng.

Roxy stood in the rain, gazing at the breathtaking scene before her, completely speechless.

The scale of this Thundercloud Accumulation was simply too vast—it had nearly covered the entire area.

"Roxy, this magic itself isn't the key. The key is how to disperse the weather." Dan Feng said to Roxy, then ceased channeling mana into the Thundercloud Accumulation.

Gradually, the Thundercloud Accumulation completely dissipated from the area, leaving only some puddles to prove it had ever existed.

"Later, when you release Thundercloud Accumulation, I'll try to disperse your Thundercloud Accumulation. That way, we can verify whether my understanding is correct." Dan Feng picked up the thesis and handed it to Roxy.

Roxy took the thesis, then looked at the incantation written on it and slowly raised the staff in her hand.

She immediately began chanting according to the words on the page. The mana within her body was continuously channeled into the magic stone at the tip of her staff.

Once again, thick dark clouds gathered in the sky around them, returning it to the same gloomy color as before.

The magic stone on her staff now shone with an unprecedentedly bright blue light—brighter than any time before.

This was due to the excessive mana output—after all, the consumption of Saint-rank magic was incomparable to upper-rank magic.

Roxy only felt her mana being frantically depleted.

Just as she was about to finish chanting, with a sound like shattering glass, the magic stone that had accompanied Roxy for many years finally shattered under the strain.

Roxy froze for a moment, then immediately and decisively threw her staff aside and began channeling mana with her bare hands.

Finally, Roxy successfully released the Water Saint-Rank Thundercloud Accumulation—she had become a Water Saint-rank magician in one fell swoop!

The area was once again deluged by torrential rain, with thunder following closely behind.

Roxy lost her footing for a moment and nearly collapsed to the ground, but Dan Feng caught her steadily.

After all, this was the first time she had used so much mana in an instant—it was perfectly normal for her body to feel unwell.

"Are you alright?" Dan Feng asked with a trace of concern in his voice as he checked on Roxy's condition.

Hearing this, Roxy immediately steadied herself. An ill-timed blush appeared on her face as she hurriedly waved her hands and said, "I'm fine, I'm fine. I just used too much mana all at once."

Dan Feng said nothing more and instead turned his attention to the Thundercloud Accumulation that Roxy had just released.

He raised his hand and waved it, attempting to disperse the dark clouds with his mana.

He channeled the same amount of mana as the Thundercloud Accumulation and successfully gained control over that mass of clouds.

Immediately afterward, the entire cloud mass was dispersed by him.

The heavy rain and thunder ceased. Sunlight once again shone down on the area, and the surroundings returned to clear weather.

"Just as the thesis said—as long as you precisely control the clouds using the same method as releasing Thundercloud Accumulation, you can change the weather." Dan Feng said slowly.

"Then I can also use the Cloud Chant Technique to control the weather." Dan Feng thought to himself.

Seeing this, Roxy clapped for Dan Feng and praised him: "So amazing! In such a short time, you actually learned the entire contents of a whole thesis."

"Just lucky." Dan Feng replied expressionlessly in modest tone.

"But my staff is broken now. I'll have to go conquer some labyrinths to find magic stones later." Roxy said somewhat helplessly, bending down to pick up the now-damaged staff.

The staff had originally been embedded with a magic stone at the top, but now that stone had shattered into countless tiny fragments scattered across the ground.

Dan Feng watched curiously and asked: "How many years has this staff been with you?" He recalled that after obtaining Cloud-Piercer, he had unhesitatingly discarded the spear that had accompanied him for two years.

Roxy thought back for a moment before answering: "Hmm, it should have been about two and a half years." She remembered that when she first bought this staff, she had needed to take out a loan to afford it.

"Two and a half years? Hmm… that's quite an interesting length of time." Dan Feng murmured thoughtfully.

"Eh? What do you mean?" Roxy's cute face showed a puzzled expression. She looked at Dan Feng in confusion, clearly waiting for further explanation.

However, Dan Feng simply shook his head lightly, indicating that it wasn't anything special.

Seeing this, though Roxy remained curious, she didn't press the matter further.

After all, Dan Feng often said things that left people baffled—she had grown accustomed to it by now.

Thus, the two of them began heading back toward Sharia.

Along the way, they chatted casually.

"Now I'm a Water Saint-rank magician too!" Roxy's happiness was plain to see. After all, Saint-rank magicians were extremely rare—this made her feel like she had joined that exclusive group.

"With your talent, this was inevitable." Dan Feng said calmly.

He was speaking the truth—even without him, Roxy would certainly have learned Water Saint-rank magic eventually. Her magical talent was simply that exceptional; it was only a matter of time.

"Dan Feng, you're overestimating me. Clearly your talent is far greater than mine." Roxy said earnestly, her gaze firm as if completely convinced of her own assessment.

Dan Feng felt a slight stir in his heart upon hearing this. He replied softly: "Is that so?" Though quiet, his voice carried a hint of doubt.

Afterward, Dan Feng's thoughts gradually drifted far away. He began carefully reflecting on this matter in his mind.

Without the system, what would he be like in this world? Perhaps he wouldn't even have been able to learn the most basic magic. After all, every bit of martial prowess and talent he now possessed had been granted by the system.

Was someone like him truly still the original him? The ordinary, unremarkable Dan Feng from before?

Dan Feng knew very well in his heart that he was merely an ordinary person who had gotten lucky.

Yet now, in this other world, he possessed the power of Imbibitor Lunae from his previous life's game.

He knew he was not truly Imbibitor Lunae, yet his actions were increasingly resembling those of Imbibitor Lunae.

The young man who once spoke in crude slang and had a relatively cheerful personality had now become someone quiet and reticent.

He understood that this power now truly belonged to him—but his behavior and emotions were steadily shifting toward those of Imbibitor Lunae.

Was this really still him?

Dan Feng fell into deep self-doubt. He felt as though he had lost control over his own identity.

He needed some time to think—to re-examine himself.

"Actually..." Dan Feng began to say something, but the words caught in his throat and refused to come out.

"Hm? What's wrong?" Roxy had heard the word "actually" and looked at Dan Feng with puzzled eyes.

After their gazes met for a moment, both silently looked away as if by unspoken agreement.

"It's nothing. I'll tell you later. Right now, I need some time to think." Dan Feng said expressionlessly in a calm tone.
