Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 – Sukuna Summons Mahoraga

The remains of Malevolent Shrine were still fading from reality.

Dust drifted slowly.

Blood dripped steadily from Toji's fingers.

The sky felt… empty without the Domain.

But the pressure hadn't disappeared.

It had changed.

The King Decides

Standing amid the shattered battlefield—

Ryomen Sukuna rolled his shoulder once.

His expression was no longer amused.

No longer mocking.

It was thoughtful.

"You destroyed my Shrine."

He looked at Toji carefully.

"Not many can claim that."

Across from him—

Toji Fushiguro barely stood upright.

Deep cuts across his torso.

Blood loss severe.

But his grip on the blade remained firm.

Sukuna exhaled slowly.

"Very well."

He raised one hand.

"If brute force fails…"

"…adaptation will not."

The Ritual Begins

Dark markings extended across Sukuna's body.

His shadow stretched unnaturally long.

A massive ritual circle began forming beneath his feet.

Wind howled outward.

Toji narrowed his eyes.

He felt something ancient emerging.

Something older than the Domain itself.

Sukuna's voice echoed calmly:

"Come forth."

The ground cracked open.

A towering shape began rising from within the shadow.

Multiple arms.

A massive wheel rotating slowly above its head.

Eyes devoid of fear.

A presence built purely for battle.

The Divine General

The battlefield trembled as—

Mahoraga fully manifested.

The Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General.

Its massive blade scraped the ground.

The rotating wheel above it clicked once.

A sound like fate turning.

Toji's instincts screamed louder than ever before.

This wasn't raw power like Sukuna.

This was evolution.

Adaptation embodied.

Sukuna smiled slightly.

"You break Domains."

He gestured toward Mahoraga.

"Break this."

Immediate Test

Mahoraga vanished.

Toji reacted purely on instinct—

He ducked.

The colossal blade passed over him, slicing a distant skyscraper clean in half.

Before Toji could reposition—

Mahoraga's elbow slammed into his ribs.

Bone cracked.

Toji was thrown across the field violently.

He rolled mid-air, barely stabilizing himself.

Mahoraga tilted its head slightly.

The wheel above it rotated once.

Click.

It was analyzing.

Toji stood again, breathing heavily.

He rushed forward without hesitation.

His blade flashed toward Mahoraga's neck.

Metal struck divine steel—

Sparks exploded.

Mahoraga did not flinch.

Instead, it adjusted its stance instantly.

The next counter came faster.

Sharper.

More precise.

Toji barely avoided losing his arm.

The wheel rotated again.

Click.

The King Observes

Sukuna watched calmly from behind.

"Each rotation…"

"…brings it closer to understanding you."

Toji's eyes sharpened.

He realized the danger immediately.

The longer this fight lasted—

The more perfect Mahoraga would become.

Sukuna folded his arms.

"You forced my hand."

His smile returned—thin and dangerous.

"Now survive evolution itself."

The battlefield shifted once more.

It was no longer Toji vs a King.

It was Toji vs inevitability.

And somewhere deep inside—

Toji understood.

This fight would demand something beyond instinct.

Beyond strength.

Beyond survival.

The wheel clicked again.

And the next rotation would not be merciful.
