JASMINE
My head hurt like hell. No matter how I struggled to stop it, the pain was unbearable.
I grabbed my head with both hands, trying to steady myself. Everything felt fuzzy and spinning.
(System… What happened to me?)
The system's voice came back distorted, crackling like a broken radio.
(System… having… issue… Error… Error… Cannot… process…)
(What the heck? You made me come here!)
(System… having… issue… Error… Cannot… retrieve… data…)
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog. I remembered something hitting my skull hard before everything went black. I had lost consciousness.
Just then the door opened and Henry walked right inside. I struggled to sit up on the bed, trying to stand, but my head kept tilting and the room spun.
"Oh, you are finally awake," he said as he dropped the tray he carried beside the bed on the nightstand.
I felt my whole world almost crumble as I struggled to stand, but my head kept tilting.
