JASMINE
The school sports field buzzed with energy under the bright morning sun. Colorful banners fluttered in the breeze, and the air was filled with the excited chatter of parents, the laughter of children, and the occasional whistle from coaches.
Parents filled the stands while kids gathered on the grass in their team jerseys. Jaden bounced on his toes in his crisp white jersey with the school logo, his eyes shining with pure happiness as he looked up at us.
"You really came," he said softly again, almost like he still couldn't believe it.
I knelt to his level and ruffled his hair gently. "Of course we did. We are here for you today, sweetheart."
Stephan placed a warm hand on Jaden's shoulder, his voice deep and encouraging. "Go show them what you have got, champ. We will be cheering the loudest."
Jaden grinned wide, gave us both a quick hug, and about to run off toward his group with a burst of energy.
