Faced with the White Demon who had just broken into the club, the numerous armed gang members hesitated, their fingers frozen on their triggers. It was as if the heavily armed ones weren't them, but the young man standing before them with a radiant smile.
They were well aware of the White Demon's terror. Whether it was from the three world-shaking news reports or the absolute reality of the two security guards who had just been launched into the club like cannonballs—now nothing more than mangled remains—the evidence of his power was undeniable.
Seeing that the gang members offered no response, Aurelius Viremont sighed. He lowered his head slightly, his face cast in the shadows of the overhead lights, revealing only the corner of his mouth curling into a cold smirk.
"In that case, I'll just go find him myself!"
At these words, one gang member could no longer withstand the pressure. He squeezed the trigger, firing frantically. The others, their nerves already pulled taut, reacted instinctively to the piercing crack of gunfire and opened fire on Aurelius Viremont simultaneously.
A curtain of lead swept toward Aurelius Viremont, only to grind to a halt exactly ten centimeters away from him, unable to approach an inch further.
As this eerie phenomenon occurred, one gang member instantly recognized it as the White Demon's trademark ability.
"The Limitless Technique! No... the White Demon can't be defeated! I don't want to die!"
Unable to face the Demon any longer, he dropped his rifle and turned to flee in a fit of mortal terror. Once the first man ran, the rest followed suit. Having learned of his horror through the news, they knew that in the eyes of the White Demon, they were no different from ants.
Numerical superiority was a joke; he could crush them with a thought.
Watching the scattered crowd, Aurelius Viremont grinned. A massive repulsive force erupted from his body. The golden bullets floating around him were sent hurtling back at speeds even faster than they had arrived!
Countless rounds broke the sound barrier, the piercing whistle of air followed by the wet thud of lead meeting flesh. In an instant, the vast majority of the gang members were cut down. The few survivors lay on the polished, gleaming floor, howling in agony.
Aurelius Viremont couldn't stand the sound of those screams. He reached out with one hand and made a slight gripping motion.
"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"
An azure black hole manifested out of thin air, pulling in everything nearby. The Lv.3 "Blue" was several times larger than the Lv.2 version; the black hole had grown from the size of a basketball to a meter wide. Its gravitational pull had increased proportionally, vacuuming up every dead or incapacitated gang member into its void.
The screams stopped abruptly.
Aurelius Viremont also couldn't stand the sight of the blood-stained mess, so he let the one-meter wide azure black hole orbit him rapidly, sucking in every bit of debris and gore in the vicinity.
The luxury club that had stood there moments ago vanished instantly, replaced by a massive, perfectly circular crater. In the center of the crater, standing on a still-intact patch of glowing floor, the White Demon straightened his back. He shoved his right hand into his pocket and used his left to sweep his soft white hair back, revealing those exquisite, crystalline azure eyes.
However, those eyes were now filled with a chilling coldness. The lucky customers who had escaped and were now shivering in the distance heard the White Demon's satisfied laughter echoing from the ruins:
"Much better. Honestly, I'm just too kind-hearted—I can't stand to see such human tragedy."
The surviving customers: "..."
Do you even hear yourself?!
Aurelius Viremont pressed forward. According to the Six Eyes, Kingpin had already put some distance between them, but catching up at his current speed wasn't difficult.
He took a step, vanishing from the spot, and crossed hundreds of meters of ruins to reach the main street. Using Cursed Technique Reversal: Red to generate a repulsive force equal to gravity, he walked through the air. Each step covered dozens of meters. Moments later, he spotted an armored vehicle driving at high speeds in the distance.
His Six Eyes glowed with a brilliant spiritual light, seeing through the glare of the sun with perfect clarity. He extended his hand in the shape of a pistol, pointing his index finger at the armored car. As the black-red singularity flickered at his fingertip, he whispered:
"Bang!"
...
Inside the armored car, Kingpin sat in the back. Even the specialized plating designed to withstand rocket fire couldn't give him a sense of security. Facing an opponent who felt like a god, anyone without a will of iron forged over decades would have collapsed by now.
But he was no ordinary man. Even knowing escape was nearly impossible, he would try. And they weren't entirely without a way to fight back.
Kingpin looked back, his gaze deep and calculating. "I only hope that the device I spent billions on works. Otherwise..."
The armored car accelerated, thrusters emerging from the rear as it shot forward!
Just as Aurelius Viremont was about to finish Kingpin, he heard a piercing static noise in his ears. He suddenly felt the energy within his body go haywire, losing its balance. As a result, he began to fall from his height of several dozen meters.
"What happened?!"
During the fall, Aurelius Viremont used the fine control afforded by the Six Eyes to instantly regain mastery over his internal energy. He was about to re-stabilize his position in the air when he noticed two figures rushing toward him from different directions!
"Hahaha! White Demon, without your mutant abilities, you're just a normal human! The achievement of killing the White Demon belongs to me, Prowler!"
From the other side, a slender figure swung in on a web line, screaming:
"Watch out!"
Seeing this, Aurelius Viremont immediately realized what was happening. A wicked sense of humor flickered in his mind. Instead of using his repulsive force to stand back up in the air, he let his body continue to fall naturally.
He also noticed that the armored car in the distance had stopped and looked like it was turning around.
Then let's give them a surprise!
Spider-Woman had been rushing toward the White Demon's location. Just as she got close, she saw the Prowler, clad in a black tech-suit, press a button on his gauntlet behind the White Demon. A piercing electronic hum filled the air!
The "God-like" White Demon suddenly stiffened. The black-red singularity he was about to fire vanished, and he plummeted toward the ground. Clearly, that sound had done something to him.
She then saw Prowler charge toward the defenseless White Demon with his sharp claws, his voice dripping with cruelty.
Gwen accelerated. Just as Prowler was about to strike the White Demon, she kicked him away with a powerful blow. Gasping for breath, she caught Aurelius Viremont in her arms. Only then did she let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness... I almost didn't make it in time!"
At the same time, feeling the two soft points of contact against him, Aurelius Viremont also felt a sense of relief in his heart.
"Thank goodness... I almost missed out on the fun!"
