In just a few moments, the majority of the Sentinel robots were easily destroyed by the White Demon!
The Sentinels were unable to inflict even a shred of damage on him. Even the spatial attacks, in which Colonel Stryker had placed his highest hopes, were utterly useless, let alone the other conventional weaponry mounted on them!
On the projected screens, the White Demon's slaughter of the Sentinels continued. He moved like a white phantom, weaving through a storm of bullets and shells. Whether it was the spatial blades or the various high-tech armaments of the Sentinels, nothing could touch a hair on his head!
The White Demon's speed was so extreme that even the most advanced targeting technology today couldn't lock onto him. Consequently, the vast majority of ammunition was wasted, serving as nothing more than a background display!
Beyond that, the generals present observed even more chilling details:
The White Demon wasn't even making a concentrated effort to dodge. He wasn't even relying solely on that strange spatial defense anymore; he was now tanking the hail of bullets with his raw physical body, emerging unscathed. At most, he simply used those mysterious purple spheres to annihilate the incoming spatial blades!
"His physical constitution has grown to such an extent... and he has mastered a brand-new, powerful mutant ability that can pierce through space!"
"If he can continuously unleash those purple sphere attacks, he could probably level a city in a matter of minutes!"
"Don't forget the White Demon has an energy absorption ability. If there's enough energy for him to take, he could absolutely do it!"
"No... the plan to eliminate the White Demon is officially cancelled. Even a nuclear bomb can't harm him. He has grown to a level where we can no longer face him head-on!"
"Agreed!"
"Agreed!"
The generals voiced their stances one after another. Suddenly, one general realized something critical. "Quick! Stop all contact with the media! If those vultures find out our plan failed, they'll broadcast it to the world. The military's credibility will plummet!"
However, a communications officer looked at him with a pale, miserable expression. "General... we've already notified all the major media outlets."
Looking at the soldier, the general's face turned white. For the first time, he wished his soldiers weren't so efficient. The other generals realized the implications immediately:
"Those intrusive media outlets will definitely discover what happened in New Mexico and know our plan failed..."
"Pressure the media! Forbid them from publishing any news regarding the White Demon!"
"We can't block all of them. Those journalists are lunatics!" another general countered immediately.
The conference room fell back into a heavy silence. The situation had developed into the worst-case scenario. Every general present began to regret ever launching an attack on the White Demon.
Colonel Stryker remained silent to the side, but his fists were clenched so tightly that his nails punctured his skin, drawing blood. In his heart, he roared a single name repeatedly: White Demon!
Clearly, he would never abandon his vendetta. And if he were willing to shoulder all the risks, these generals would likely not hesitate to support him from the shadows. Now that the Sentinels had gathered even more data on the Demon, he refused to believe the White Demon could cope once the Sentinels were perfected!
As the ammunition neared Aurelius Viremont, he sucked out all the kinetic and thermal energy, preventing even the slightest injury while gaining a steady stream of energy points. Most of the Sentinels' attacks were useless; only the spatial blades required attention.
However, the Six Eyes allowed for perfect tracking, and Hollow Technique: Purple could annihilate the spatial blades. Thus, the Sentinels—who would have driven almost any other mutant to despair—were nothing more than helpless practice dummies in Aurelius Viremont's eyes!
With a final Black Flash, accompanied by the blooming of black and red lightning, the last functional Sentinel was smashed into scrap metal by a terrifying force!
At this point, all the Sentinels were eliminated.
Feeding all the excess energy into the system, his character template integration surged again. It had reached a staggering 72%!
The energy points required to increase integration by 1% spiked significantly every 10%. After reaching 70%, the amount needed for each subsequent percent was an astronomical figure. If he relied solely on absorbing nearby electricity as he did at the start, even months of continuous absorption wouldn't yield 1% integration!
Even absorbing nearly the entire energy of a nuclear blast only granted him a 6% increase! At this rate, even draining a whole Arc Reactor wouldn't move the needle much.
However, Aurelius Viremont's next target was no longer Arc Reactors. His goal was the six Infinity Stones—especially the Power Stone, the source of all energy! Beyond that, there were other energies to plunder. Whether it was draining a planet's energy like a Celestial or seizing artifacts like the Eternal Flame, there was vast power out there for him to take. He did not fear a lack of energy to unlock his template.
Furthermore, Aurelius Viremont had other considerations. If his innate abilities could upgrade, could he do the same if he mastered Sling Ring Portals?
Even a basic mastery of portals allowed travel to any known location. In the movies, Ned could even open portals directly to a specific target. If he upgraded that ability, what level would it reach?
Time travel? Dimensional hopping? Perhaps even opening portals to other worlds?
Aurelius Viremont looked forward to it. If the Marvel world existed, then other worlds likely did too. If he upgraded portals to a high enough level to reach the Jujutsu Kaisen world... defeating Satoru Gojo using moves stronger than Gojo's own would be an exquisite pleasure.
Especially if he could say that classic line right to Gojo's face: "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one."
Just thinking about it made his brain tremble!
Once the chaos settled, Thor and the others began to approach. When they reached the edge of the battlefield, they witnessed the following scene:
Dust and smoke blanketed the world. Countless massive craters, looking like they were caused by falling meteors, pockmarked the earth. Ammunition shells and missile wreckage lay scattered across the sand.
In the very center, at the end of the "earth-scar" caused by the purple orb, in the middle of the circular pit left by the nuke, the White Demon—familiar yet terrifyingly foreign to Thor—was floating a meter above the ground.
He seemed to be savoring the battle, or perhaps he had thought of something incredibly pleasing. He was covering his forehead with his right hand, face tilted toward the sky. A smile slowly spread across his lips, broadening into a chuckle, and finally into a fit of uninhibited, wild laughter!
