On the penthouse of Stark Tower, a portal flickered open, and Tony Stark stepped out. He was clad in a unique red-and-gold armor, but unlike his previous suits, this one was inscribed with dense magical runes that pulsed with intense mystical energy.
During this time, Tony had clearly succeeded in fusing magic and technology. He was wearing the brand-new version of his arcane suit—the Mark 7 (Arcane Edition)!
As he stepped through, Tony immediately spotted the bizarrely transformed Captain America and Hulk, as well as the massive wormhole forming in the sky. Realizing the scale of what Aurelius Viremont had done—opening a gateway to invite an alien power to Earth—Tony turned to him urgently:
"Aurelius Viremont, close the portal now! If that stays open, an alien force will invade. This will be an absolute catastrophe for New York!"
Tony knew that even if the invaders were eventually wiped out by Earth's defenders, the collateral damage to the city and its civilians would be devastating. His inherent kindness wouldn't allow him to stand by.
Faced with Tony's plea, Aurelius Viremont remained unmoved. He simply patted Tony on the shoulder and said with deep meaning:
"Tony, you're the next Sorcerer Supreme. You need to broaden your horizons. We aren't opening this portal so they can invade us; we're opening it to mark the beginning of Earth's rule over the universe!"
Before Tony could process the weight of that statement, Aurelius Viremont took a step forward, hovering before the widening wormhole. At that moment, a swarm of Chitauri soldiers began surging through. Seeing Aurelius Viremont alone, they paused for a fraction of a second before baring their teeth in cruel grins.
"A lone human. Kill him!"
"The conquest of Earth starts with his blood!"
Aurelius Viremont couldn't understand their language, but their bloodthirsty howls made their intent crystal clear. He smiled back at them. In the next instant, terrifying black-and-red lightning crackled around him, converging at the tip of his index finger.
He pointed at the massive gateway. At his fingertip, a horrific black-red singularity condensed. Within a blink, a singularity the size of a man was fully formed and launched forward!
The resulting sonic boom shattered windows for kilometers around. The Chitauri soldiers who were halfway through the portal—not even fully entered into Earth's atmosphere—were struck head-on. Under the absolute repulsive force, their bodies, their gliders, and their weapons were simultaneously pulverized into fine dust!
The singularity tore through everything in its path, slaughtering the vanguard. A misty spray of blood drifted into the vacuum of space. The Chitauri's first wave was erased with a single strike!
But the singularity didn't stop. After entering the vacuum, it continued to streak toward its target. Aboard the Chitauri Command Center (the Mothership), the commander barked orders:
"Quickly! Fire! Do not let that strange object hit the ship!"
The Mothership unleashed a barrage of energy beams. Facing such concentrated fire, the singularity's speed finally slowed, but it still broke through layer after layer of interception, accurately slamming into the hull of the Chitauri Mothership!
Inside the bridge, the commander heard a thunderous crash followed by the screeching of tearing metal. On the holographic status projection of the ship, a massive red warning symbol flared in the center of the hull!
A single attack had bypassed their defenses and dealt critical damage. Weren't they told this was a backwards planet? Where did they get this level of technology?!
Just then, the vice-commander reported: "Commander! A human has emerged from the portal!"
The commander looked at the wormhole. A white-haired, blue-eyed human was slowly drifting out into the void. This "feeble" Earthling was ignoring the lethal radiation, the lack of atmospheric pressure, and the absolute zero temperature of space. He drifted past the mangled remains of the Chitauri vanguard and gave them a terrifying, toothy grin.
The image reminded the commander of a rumor circulating through the cosmos: Earth is a terrifying planet filled with monsters. Even the famous Captain Marvel hails from there. He hadn't believed it—how could such a weak race produce someone like her? But looking at the man before him, he began to believe.
"Commander," a soldier reported, "we are detecting extreme energy fluctuations from that human... it appears that previous attack was released by him personally!"
"What?!"
Stepping through the portal into the vacuum, Aurelius Viremont's Lv.4 Energy Absorption worked overtime, soaking up cosmic radiation to constantly reinforce his body. His Reverse Cursed Technique continuously repaired his cells, allowing him to thrive even without oxygen. He had reached the point where he could survive in space purely through his own power.
He stared at the Chitauri Mothership, tapped the communicator at his ear, and commanded the team back on Earth:
"Charge!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Immediately following his order, a modified spacecraft shot out from the portal behind him. It carried the subverted heroes—the Avengers now bonded with symbiotes—streaking toward the Chitauri flagship.
"Intercept them! Do not let them reach us!" the commander screamed. He had a gut feeling that if that ship got close, something catastrophic would happen.
A dense web of energy fire focused on the incoming craft. But as the beams drew near, they were all drawn toward the white-haired man standing on top of the ship. He absorbed the energy effortlessly, protecting the vessel from a single scratch.
The next moment, the ship smashed directly into the Chitauri Mothership's docking bay. The various symbiote-hosts tore through the craft's armor and stepped out into the enemy ship.
And standing behind them was the nightmare himself.
