Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Reverse Cursed Technique Lv.3

Tony Stark watched in stunned silence as Aurelius Viremont and the spacecraft smashed into the alien mothership in the distance.

Initially, he thought Aurelius Viremont's goal in opening the portal was simply to find "fun"—which fit his impression of the man perfectly. However, he hadn't expected Aurelius Viremont's idea of fun to be this grand: a direct reverse invasion, launching an offensive against a galactic power!

While Tony was a kind-hearted man, he held no such mercy for non-human invaders. He muttered to himself, "Not bad..." before flying up toward the stars.

Having learned about the various factions in the universe from Kamar-Taj, Tony had long considered the possibility of space combat. His latest magic-tech hybrid, the Mark 7 (Arcane Edition), was fully equipped for prolonged operation in the vacuum of space.

By the time Tony reached the Chitauri Mothership, the battle had reached its boiling point!

Bonded with the symbiotes, Captain America and the others had gained a portion of the Hulk's raw power. Facing the Chitauri soldiers who fired energy rifles incessantly, they charged like demons; every strike literally tore a Chitauri warrior to shreds.

The most outstanding performer was the Hulk himself. The Riot symbiote bonded to him had absorbed Loki's Frost Giant traits, causing every one of the Hulk's attacks to carry a freezing property. The Hulk's physical stats combined with the Frost Giant's elemental power made for a terrifying upgrade.

The Chitauri soldiers fired frantically at him, but the energy rays only singed the outer layer of the symbiote without harming the Hulk's actual body. They could only watch in horror as the beast rampaged through their ranks, tearing them apart.

But as frightening as the Hulk was, the true nightmare for the Chitauri was the white-haired human at the rear. He was clearly the leader—and the most powerful of them all.

Unlike the Hulk, who tanked the energy rays, this man absorbed them, using their fire to bolster his own power. Furthermore, even in the middle of a chaotic battlefield, he was spotless. Not a speck of dust, smoke, or blood could touch him; everything was repelled by an invisible force at a specific distance.

Even more terrifying: he never seemed to "attack" actively. But whenever a Chitauri soldier drew within five meters of him, they were instantly diced by invisible slashes. Not a single corpse remained intact. The five-meter radius around him acted like a black hole, devouring the lives of anyone who approached.

When Tony arrived, he saw this slaughter in progress. The Chitauri, who were supposed to be the hunters, had become helpless prey.

Tony looked at the strange, viscous organisms on the heroes and asked Aurelius Viremont, "What are those things on Cap? They look biological."

Aurelius Viremont walked through the battlefield as if strolling through a park during cherry blossom season, nonchalant and at ease. "Symbiotes," he explained. "They bond with a host, replicate their abilities, and enhance their physique."

"Are they sentient?" Tony noted the intelligence in their movements.

"Yes. Want one? I've mastered the method of 'birthing' them. I can't mass-produce them yet, but giving you a few 'suits' is easy enough."

Tony looked at the symbiotes with curiosity and nodded. "Thanks. I think I can find some inspiration for nanotechnology from them."

In the Mothership's control room, the commander stared at the radar projection. The humans were drawing closer. Panic finally set in. He couldn't understand how a low-level civilization had suddenly developed to this level.

"Do we have an identity on the white-haired one?" the commander barked.

A soldier replied shakily, "According to Earth's network databases, his name is Aurelius Viremont, a Level 5 mutant. He possesses extreme power. I even suspect..."

"Why did you stop? Speak!"

"I suspect... he might be stronger than Lord Thanos!"

The commander snapped his head around, his expression twisted. "What did you say?!"

The soldier stammered, "I found a record in the SHIELD database. A powerful warrior from the same race as Lord Thanos—the Eternals—was killed by Aurelius Viremont. It was a complete stomp..."

The commander fell silent. He finally understood what kind of monster they were facing. This was a war they were destined to lose. "Notify Lord Thanos. Request reinforcements immediately. Hurry!"

On a distant planet where half the population had already been culled, the fires of war were dying out. In a central camp, Ebony Maw received the signal from the Chitauri. They claimed Earth had a human of extreme power.

Initially, Maw thought the Sorcerer Supreme had intervened. But when he saw the image of the white-haired man, he relaxed. It wasn't the Ancient One. The Sorcerer Supreme was a powerhouse on the same level as Thanos; if it wasn't her, there was no problem.

As a loyal subordinate, he informed Thanos. Thanos replied coldly:

"Send Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Cull Obsidian to kill these humans. And while they are at it, wipe out the Chitauri. These useless failures have lost their value."

"As you wish..."

At that same moment, because he was constantly using the Reverse Cursed Technique to repair cells damaged by the oxygen-deprived space environment, Aurelius Viremont's skill experience was skyrocketing!

Just as the team was about to breach the control room, the system chimed:
