Ming Tao jumped out of the water so fast. Suddenly, being naked was the least important thing to think about. He raced forward, headed toward the trees when something made him stop.
The woman who saw the crocodiles was not running along with him. Ming Tao stopped moving and turned back. Mira was still standing where he left her but her hands rested on her knees in a bent pose. The quivering stopped and the fright he saw in her eyes was gone, now replaced with complete mockery.
Ming Tao's eyes averted from Mira to the river. It was spotless. Not a single four legged, long mouthed animal with sharp teeth was inside. Mira lied!
She lied so she could get him out of the river and see him naked. That was so sneaky.
"Run, run. I want to see how fast you go with two legs." Mira said, laughing like she just witnessed the funniest thing ever. Was he really afraid of crocodiles? It was an understandable fear but this was way too funny.
