The truth was out. There was nothing needed from Hye Yang anymore and Hye Yang understood it. With several broken bones on her hand and so many beast people from different tribes with the urge to rip her apart, she knew that her end was near.
But she did not want to go away so pitifully. She did not want the last thing to be heard of her be the way she was tortured and cried her way to death. That was the last thing she wanted. In a world where she used all her might to get what she wanted. . . And actually came so close to achieving it. . . She could not have any more regrets.
She tried. She might have failed, but she tried all her best and that was all that mattered to Hye Yang.
Hye Yang raised her unbroken hand to meet with her other arm and clenched her fingers on her shoulder. Pain shot through out her entire hand but she tried not to voice out the agony.
