The red rays of the rising sun hit the horizon. The world was just starting to see light, and the streets were abandoned by humans at this time.
Only those involved in shady deeds and those concerned about their morning run were awake and out at such a time. And that made it the perfect time for Daniel to make his drug run.
The doctor he was currently seeing was a shady ex-mafia expert who generally treated patients who had questionable identities and could not go to a regular hospital.
Daniel fell into such a category.
Even if he had a fake ID, he knew that it was not 100% solid, and even the smallest suspicion could expose his connections with the mafia and other underground dealers.
It would not have been such a big deal if he was still with the mafia. They would have taken care of it all and deleted his footprint as well. But since he was not with the mafia… he had to improvise.
