"We can go to a fancier place for lunch. Is there anything you want us to do?"
Daniel asked Ivan once they were done with breakfast. Ivan might have been in the mafia, but he was also a public figure. And as such, people usually tended to keep tabs on him. Ivan did not like paparazzi much, but it was not something he could fully avoid.
Daniel, on the other hand, did not want to be discovered by anyone. So he put on his mask and also swallowed his suppressants for the day. Only then was he ready for what was to come.
"Eh, I don't have anything scheduled for the next month, so we don't need to do much. I can just hang out at your office and watch you work on your cases. Ah! And don't worry. You can take other cases as well if you like… as long as you get them approved by me first."
That sounded like limited freedom, but Daniel was surprised that he was being allowed even this much.
