'Ah, I am going to be slapped. I should brace myself.'
Daniel had too much practice looking at people's faces and judging them to know when he had made someone angry. And currently, he could tell that his father was livid. Anger was oozing out of his father's eyes as he raised his hand to bring it down on Daniel's cheeks.
The slap did not hurt physically, but it made Daniel feel humiliated. He knew that this was what his father wanted.
So he looked back up, his eyes staring at his father with an intensity that he seldom showed.
It made his father take a step back in shocked fright, but that quickly turned into anger once more.
"Ugh, useless baggage. Anyway, I am here to tell you that I am going to transfer our debt to you once more. Just keep taking care of it as you have. That is all."
The alpha quickly took his leave, and Daniel looked at his mother one last time. But the omega was not able to handle that gaze and ran away as well.
