Chapter 8
Keifer's Perspective
After Jayjay went to his room, Angelo thanked everyone and everyone went their separate ways.
"Yuri and Keifer, you stay here, I need to talk to you about something," he said, staring intently at me.
Angelo went up to his room, leaving Yuri and me alone downstairs.
"Did you see the bruises and redness on Jayjay's throat?" Yuri asked.
I thought I was the only one who noticed, but I wasn't.
"Yes, where do you think they came from? There's never been anything like that before," I said.
Yuri shook her head; apparently, she didn't know.
"Why didn't you all go with us?"
When we turned around, we saw Jayjay. He was wearing a nightgown, plush shoes, and his hair was messy. He looked so cute, like a rabbit 🐇
Yuri smiled and said, "Hi Jay, Angelo wanted to talk to us, so we stayed."
Then Jayjay and I made eye contact. He seemed lost in thought...
Yuri said, "Jay, are you alright?" and Jay came to his senses. He gently nodded, then turned and went to the kitchen.
Yuri and I made eye contact; she also couldn't understand what was happening.
Jayjay went up to his room with the cup in his hand, and we watched him as he went up the stairs. He seemed to have noticed us watching him.
A few minutes after he left, Angelo came to us and took us to the library.
It was my first time here. Yuri also looked surprised.
Angelo pointed to the long sofa and said, "Sit down."
We sat down. Angelo started talking;
"First of all, Keifer, what's this tracking device thing?" he asked.
"As I said, for his safety, I asked Edrix, and he added this app to his phone. It's really useful; it's helped us find Jayjay many times when he got lost. Of course, I followed your decision, but I think this app should stay," I said.
"Okay, leave it, but let me know about even the smallest thing," he instructed me.
Then he said he wanted to talk to Yuri alone. Why? What were they hiding from me?
I shook my head slightly and left the room.
Walking straight down the corridor, I stopped in front of a room. This was Jayjay's room...
What was he doing? I peeked inside, trying to see if there was any sound.
There was no sound from inside.
I grabbed the doorknob and slightly opened the door. He hadn't locked it, or he'd forgotten. I tried not to make any noise. I peeked inside but couldn't see Jayjay.
I went in. I looked around more carefully and saw him on the balcony. He was sleeping. He looked so innocent while sleeping; I wish he were just as innocent when he was awake. 😄
He had a blanket over him. But this blanket looked very familiar. I remembered! I'd seen this blanket at David's house...
Flashback;
I was driving around. It was getting dark. Suddenly, it started raining heavily. I couldn't see ahead anymore. Suddenly, a car appeared in front of me. Damn it! I almost hit it. But I managed to avoid it at the last moment.
When I looked ahead, I saw him in the car... David...
He was looking at me too, and he looked surprised. We both got out of the car at the same time; we were now facing each other.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"What are you doing here? This is my house," he said, pointing to the house right next to us.
"I was just driving around, and suddenly it started raining," I said.
And then I started shivering.
"Come inside, you can go home when the rain stops. My family isn't home, they're abroad," he said.
Actually, it wasn't a bad idea. I agreed, and after parking our cars, we went inside.
"Take off your clothes, I'll get you some; your clothes are wet," he said and went into a room.
I took off my shirt too. A short while later, David came in with a t-shirt in his hand. I quickly put it on because I was freezing.
David was looking out the window at that moment.
"It looks like the rain isn't going to stop, you're staying here today," he said.
He turned to me;
"Are you hungry?" he asked.
I shook my head, I wasn't hungry.
He pointed to the armchair. He was telling me to sit down. I did as he said. He went back into the same room and came out with a blanket. He handed it to me. I took it and covered myself. The air was really freezing 🥶
I picked up my phone and messaged Keigan.
Keigana: "Keigan, I got stuck in the rain, but I met a friend and I'm safe. I'll stay here today, you guys sleep, don't worry about me."
Keigana:
"Okay, bro ☺️"
Then David came, he had two coffees in his hand. He offered one to me. I smiled at him and took the coffee. I started drinking it. We were both very quiet. But David broke the silence.
"Keifer, can you stop the plan?"
"Why do you want me to stop it? Are you in love with her?"
"No, I just don't want to see her suffer."
"No, David, you know what her cousin did to me, we have to get revenge on her."
"We can do it in another way, but please don't do this to Jayjaye."
"I'm telling you for the last time, NO," I said firmly.
David bowed his head and continued sipping his coffee. A few minutes later, we both finished our coffees. David gave me a pillow and blanket. We both slept soundly...
The flashback ended;
This is where I remembered. But why was this blanket with Jayjay? Damn it! Now I suspect even more that Jayjay and David did this.
I went to Jayjay and tucked the strands of hair that had fallen across his face behind his ear. He looked so sweet. I hugged him and carried him to his bed. I covered him with the blanket.
"I love you so much, Jay, I lied to you. I'm in love with you, so very much, but I need to stay away from you, it's Angelo's advice, please forgive me," I said and kissed him on the forehead.
I held her hand and kissed it. I really missed her...
Just then, the door opened. When I looked behind me, I saw Yuri...
She was looking at me in surprise. I ate mint 😔
"W-what are you doing here?"
