Unknown Place
Those annoying rays of sunlight again.
He squeezed his eyes shut harder, as if that would somehow make the sun hide itself, but in the end he had no choice but to slowly open them. He narrowed them a little against the light, and the moment his vision settled, he recognized the room right away.
He could never forget it.
It was the room he had been given when he first entered the Shinto pantheon.
He started looking around the room, and after spotting Orien and Kaia asleep beside the bed, his eyes moved forward and met two pale eyes.
Tsk, Damon cursed inwardly.….. His whole body hurt like hell, but that could wait. The main thing right now was figuring out why Kaguya Otsutsuki was sitting in his room right next to his bed.
He looked at the two wolves, saw them raise their heads a little, then go right back to sleep.
Traitors, he thought bitterly while crying on the inside.
"Didn't know I had a guardian angel," Damon said with a smile, though he stayed a little alert. After all, he had been fighting this woman for weeks not that long ago.
The pearl-like eyes sparkled with amusement at his reaction. A small smile appeared on the rabbit goddess's lips.
The bedroom door opened, and a black-haired woman walked in carrying a tray with food and drinks.
"When did he wake up?" Amaterasu asked Kaguya.
"Less than a minute ago," the albino replied.
Damon could only stare as the two women spoke like they had known each other for years.
What the hell did I miss...?
He watched the albino stand up and walk toward him. He had to admit she was stunning.
She wore a long white robe, the soft fabric falling over her body in a way that somehow made her look both graceful and seductive at the same time…. a very dangerous combination.
The red sash around her waist pulled the whole thing tighter around her figure, and the open sleeves, mixed with the pale skin at her neck and collar, only made her stand out more. With her long white hair flowing behind her….. it was honestly hard not to stare….
His thoughts were cut off when he suddenly felt someone hug him.
"Thank you," she said softly while holding him.
Honestly, he had no idea if he was supposed to hug her back or just freeze on the spot. This was the last thing he had expected from Kaguya Otsutsuki, a woman everyone saw as cold and almost emotionless.
Maybe he could get to know her better with time
In the end, he hugged her back…. not feeling any malicious intents coming from her..
"How did you know?" Kaguya asked as she pulled away from him.
He did not answer, mostly because he had no idea what she meant. The rabbit goddess noticed that immediately and asked again.
"How did you know I was being controlled by Zetsu?"
"Honestly, I didn't," he admitted as truthfully as he could. "It was more of a suspicion..."
Two soft hands cupped his cheeks, and before he could react, Kaguya leaned in close enough for him to feel her breath before her lips gently kissed him just beside his own lips. When she pulled back, a faint red lipstick mark was left near the corner of his mouth.
"You're my savior," she said with a smile. "Thank you again."
Damon froze for a second. Damn... she was too beautiful.
All the while, Amaterasu stood there watching with a faint smile. Damon felt his nerves spike almost immediately.
He knew that look way too well.
Whenever she smiled like that and they were alone, things took a very heated turn…. That said, he was not complaining about it.
Trying to focus on something safer, Damon reached for the food. That lasted all of three seconds before Amaterasu took the tray out of his hands and Kaguya moved closer with a small smile.
A few moments later, the two of them were feeding him. Apparently, they had already decided that was how this was going to go and Damon's opinion on the matter was completely irrelevant.
"I assume she brought me back," Damon asked, looking at Amaterasu. "Also... what happened with Elohim?"
The goddess nodded. "Yes. When you fell unconscious, she brought you here. Once she regained her senses, she stopped being seen as a threat," Amaterasu said.
"And as for Elohim, well, after you fell, no one was in any condition to keep pushing the war, especially after that last attack you launched," Amaterasu explained. "The biblical faction entered a temporary ceasefire. Too many casualties, too much destruction, and too many things to repair. Even Elohim had to focus on stabilizing his pantheon."
Damon took a moment to process everything before speaking.
"I should be thanking you, Kaguya. I don't know what would've happened to me if I hadn't gotten out of there." he said.
It's nothing compared to what you've done for me... and for all the trouble I caused you. I'll do my best to repay you for it," the goddess said, smiling softly at him.
"Hmph. I would have unleashed hell on them if something had happened to you. As a matter of fact, I don't even know why you didn't do worse. I wouldn't have cared about the consequences. It was only thanks to Mother that I didn't jump in and drag you out of there," Amaterasu said, still sounding worried.
"Well, I'll have to thank Izanami later for not letting you do that," Damon said. He smiled at both of them, thanked them again, and asked:
"Oh, you idiot. It should be me thanking you," Amaterasu replied while running a hand through Damon's hair.
"After all you did it, Damon."
That made him tilt his head a little in confusion.
"The world is at peace now. The entire world recognizes Naruto Uzumaki as the greatest hero of the elemental nations."
A smile slowly formed on Damon's face, and he tried to stand up, but the pain immediately reminded him that it had other plans. Amaterasu noticed and placed a hand on his chest, gently pushing him back onto the bed.
He immediately looked at his hands and saw the sun and moon marks still there. That was already weird enough, but then his thoughts moved even faster. If he still had the hands, then...
Still not believing it, he touched his own face…. Then he slowly looked back at Amaterasu, who already knew exactly what he was about to ask.
"We fused your souls back together so you wouldn't reincarnate again by accident, and since you were clearly too attached to your last body, we joined it to your immortal body too. That's why everything hurts, by the way," Amaterasu said with a shrug, though there was a small smile on her face from seeing how emotional he looked.
"So... nothing changed?"
"You're a full on flesh god, one hundred percent. This is your real body now. Though you can still change it whenever you want. You just have to think about it."
"Finally back, huh," Damon said. It felt strange having everything flow through him without tearing him apart anymore. His cosmos, his chakra, even the Bijuu's chakra all moved together through his body without causing any damage. More than anything, it felt relieving.
Amaterasu's smile deepened as she added, " also while you were out, a council started and they voted on how to reward you for bringing peace to the mortal world," Amaterasu said, happiness clear on her face as she leaned in more hugging him.
"Congratulations, Damon... Shinto god of Order."
Alright...
That one he definitely had not expected.
Damon just stayed there in complete shock. When all of this had started, he had never expected it to end like this: not only becoming far stronger than he had ever imagined, but literally gaining authority as a god in another pantheon.
He didnt know what to say… after everything he had been through...
"Congratulations, Damon."
The moment he heard that, Damon closed his eyes and slipped into his mental space. He walked deeper inside and started looking around until he found him there, lying down with his head resting on his hands, one eye open and a half-smile on his face. The other eight Bijuu were there too, all sleeping deeply, most likely because of how much chakra they had burned through.
"I did it, Kurama," Damon said with a smile on his face.
The fox gave him a small nod, then answered with a sharp-toothed grin of his own.
Timeskip
Damon recovered faster than anyone expected. The second he could leave his room without having to deal with an angry Amaterasu breathing down his neck, he stepped outside and looked at a world that was finally at peace. The five great villages now had a peace and trade agreement that benefited all of them equally.
The celebrations in the Shinto pantheon had been absurdly long, and Kaguya had finally been recognized as her own goddess too, but in the end even that came to a close.
If there was one thing Damon had learned, it was that he hated goodbyes.
He would rather disappear without saying a word and avoid the pain, but he knew very well that doing that only made things worse in the long run. The best goodbye was one no one had to suffer through alone.
Right now, Damon was saying farewell to his "father" figure and to his brother Indra.
Only one farewell remained.
And it would be the hardest one.
Damon stepped toward a beautiful black-haired woman and hugged her as tightly as he could. He would never forget her scent. It had always calmed him down and pushed him forward. He pulled back just enough to press his forehead to hers and looked straight into her eyes.
"I'll come back, Amaterasu, no matter what happens, never forget that you're the woman of my life. I am who I am because of you. You taught me everything I know."
A smile touched his face.
"You practically even taught me how to walk."
That got a smile out of Amaterasu, a smile that only he ever seemed able to bring out of her.
"I want to enjoy the peace you spent so long chasing... the peace you finally brought," Amaterasu said, a tear slipping down her face. "I'll be waiting for you, Damon."
Damon leaned in and kissed her softly. She returned it the instant she felt it. The kiss carried everything they felt for each other, and little by little it deepened, turning into a quiet struggle for control. In the end, Amaterasu gave in and let Damon's tongue slip into her mouth and play with hers. When they finally had to part for air, they stayed there, breathing against each other, their eyes locked. The love and warmth in her golden gaze left Damon completely trapped.
In the end, Damon gave her one last quick kiss on the lips and another at the tip of her nose.
"I'll definitely come back."
"Don't make me come looking for you," Amaterasu said, making Damon smile.
Damon turned toward the portal that would take him out of the Shinto pantheon to the free world out there…..
Without giving himself time to think twice, he stepped through the portal with Orien and Kaia following right behind him.

Thank you for the support, the last chapter was crazyyyyy, like it popped off wtf hahah.
That said, some of you felt disappointed and maybe I could have done a better job but honestly Damon fough 2 dragons (and destroyed their bodies), Kaguya, Elohim, the 3 factions and Lucifer to an extent all in a course of many days it seems like some of you wanted for damon to just beat up Elohim to the ground hahahah which I honestly though about but to be honest if I did that I would be making damon wayyyy to powerful by that point everything else in the future wouldnt matter cause literally by that point only ones who could fight MC would be Trihexa, Great Red and Chaos to a higher extent. And his already powerful.... I thought I showed that, but apparently I didnt do a good enough job.
For those who don't give a fck🤣🤣.... At this point, with the number of times I have been flamed, as a new author, I have learned that being too sensitive is not the way in this sht, And uhh I also can't make everyone happy. I am sorry, boys and girls. I just felt I had to make it clear and thank you. Sorry for yapping too much.

Anyway, we are moving on.... MC Shinto god now, and his going to another pantheon. Next chapter, we start at the Percy Jackson timeline. I will make a time skip for it.
