"What the hell is that?' Shuren asked, shocked. "No idea, all I know is that it feels terrifying,' Cid said. Wanna check it out?" Shuren added. "Umm, sure, I guess," Cid added, a little terrified.
As Cid got outside his lecture hall, he saw things that almost made him puke.
It was a Huge Goblin.
Without warning, a system screen appeared, this time in red.

A shiver ran down their spine.
They trembled.
The enemy's aura alone made it hard for them to breathe.
"Are you feeling what I'm feeling?" Cid quickly asked Shuren.
"M-h-m," Shuren replied, almost falling to the ground from the overwhelming pressure.
"We have no choice, this is the end of the corridor, and we are completely blocked from the goblin and the wall. If we don't fight, we'll surely die," Cid stated, completely overtaken by fear. " I agree, if we don't fight, we will die no matter what. We have to fight," Shuren said, getting up on his feet.
Immediately, he summoned a shield. It was big, almost the size of a 12-year-old child. It had a strange aura surrounding it, like it was somehow protecting it; Shuren knew it wouldn't be enough, so did Cid.
"EVERYONE COME OUT," Cid shouted, summoning his goblins.
Cid then immediately commanded one of his goblin summons to attack the Goblin Warrior.
Even though Cid summoned all his goblins at once, he only commanded one of them to attack. It was to see how strong the enemy was.
As the summon approached the enemy, it suddenly smiled. The Goblin Warrior stood still as if to wait for his opponent to come closer. As the summoned goblin went closer to the Goblin Warrior, the smile of the enemy only grew bigger.
When the summon got close enough to the enemy, it swung its big bat. All it took was one hit. One hit. One hit to kill the summon. Although the goblin summon was weaker than normal goblins, it was still a difficult job for basically everyone Cid knew so far. Still, the goblin warrior destroyed the summon effortlessly with only one swing.
Without warning, a system message rose.

"Hey, umm, is that supposed to happen?"Shuren asked in disbelief.
"N-o no-t at all, this is the first time," Cid replied, almost trembling. " I guess we have to try harder than ever."
"Wait, I have an idea, it might actually work," Cid jumped immediately.
"Are you sure? Are you like sure sure?" Shuren asked with a blank face.
"Yeah… Give me your shield." "Huh." "Dude, you heard me."
Shuren slowly gave his shield to Cid, still confused.
The shield had an ominous red aura glowing on one side of it
Immediately after getting the shield. He threw it straight at the opponent. Cid made a bold move. Well, at least it looked like it.
It hit the goblin warrior from the edge of the shield; for some reason, it actually made a dent in the goblin warrior.
"Wait… WHAT!!!" Shuren shouted in disbelief." We might defeat it with that technique". "Well, that's not going to be enough," Cid replied.
Cid quickly commanded one of his summons to grab the shield while the opponent was 'stunned.' (to be momentarily deprived of consciousness or physically unable to move)
Then, Cid threw his friend's shield again, but unfortunately, this time the shield hit the goblin from the front. But luckily, the shield hit the opponent's head, where it seemed to be its weak spot.
"I think I found its weak spot," Cid said.
"Yeah, me too, but I'm not really sure though…"
It looked like Cid planned out everything. Like, throwing the shield at its head, and what happened before. But… it was far from the truth. Cid just threw the only thing that looked strong enough. He threw it with all his might, but luckily, he found his opponent's weak spot.
It seemed to be going well. But they both had a feeling that they couldn't beat the goblin warrior with just Cid's strength.
Fortunately, there was Shuren. Shuren wasn't just an ordinary kid… He was the strongest in his school in raw strength. He could bench almost 300 kg without an assisted gear, which was almost inhumane.
"Cid… Give me my shield back, I know what to do,"
Cid was shocked at his request. But he knew the reason. He knew that Shuren could do better than he at throwing the heavy shield.
"Huff.." Cid sighed."Here, ta-."
Without warning, the goblin warrior lunged at Cid without letting him finish the sentence. But thankfully, Cid handed down the shield to Shuren in the perfect moment. But not so luckily, Cid didn't have enough time to evade the goblin warrior's attack.
"ARGH!" Cid cried out.
Cid slammed into the wall as a sharp pain drilled into his body.
He struggled to breathe.
"My ribs…" Cid said, gathering all his energy to talk. "They're broken…"
"What…" Shuren said, in disbelief. He was very shocked, as could be seen from his bright eyes, but he knew what he had to do. He had to make it out alive… not alone, with his friend…
Shuren lunged forward near the opponent without missing a beat. He held his shield out and blocked the next attack from the goblin warrior.
"Huff."
Shuren knew the attack would be strong, but he didn't know it would be that strong to almost drop him to his knees, even when he was trying his best. He had to try even harder, especially for his friend.
"DRAGON SPIRIT, EMERGE!" Shuren shouted. It felt like he summoned something, but it couldn't be seen. It was a particular phrase that seemed to summon something. It was something that happened on its own; it was a phrase that came out of his mouth on its own.
Then suddenly, a reddish shadow emerged from the ground. It had the form of a long-tailed dragon. It slowly surrounded Shuren's arms.
"Whoa! I feel stronger just by this?" Shuren smirked. "Oh, this is going to be a breeze."
As Shuren got ready to fight the goblin warrior again, it suddenly attacked him.
Chapter Note: Hey readers, I wanted to make it so that the main character isn't always overpowered and his teammates are strong as well ( sometimes even stronger than himself). Also, I am trying to make it so that the main side characters also get their time in the spotlight in one way or another.
