"GRRR!" The Goblin warrior growled as it attacked Shuren, delivering strong punches to him.
"ARGH!" Shuren shouted as he blocked the elite mob's strong punches with his shield.
"What..." Shuren said, totally confused. " What... A punch that almost knocked me down... I can block it."
The punch that had nearly sent him flying only pushed him back a few steps. The dragon surged through his body, even making his heavy shield lighter. Although low, with this, Shuren actually had a chance of winning.
Because of what Cid did not too long ago, Shuren got an idea.
Wait... Shuren thought. Cid made a dent in the Elite mob's head using my shield. So that means its head is its weak spot! I think I made some progress.
Instantly, he shot up near the goblin warrior. But the enemy attacked at the same time as Shuren. They were almost evenly matched. Well... The goblin warrior was stronger, but not by much this time.
"ARHGH!!!"

Even though they were almost evenly matched, Shuren fell back.
"How is this big piece of rotten meat so strong!" Shuren said, amazed by his opponent's strength.
Although Shuren got a strong buff, he knew it wasn't enough. It wasn't nearly enough. He also realised that he couldn't beat it alone. At least with his current strength.
This time, Shuren attacked with his shield. But unfortunately, the enemy had already adapted to the attack.
"Huh..." Shuren said, confused. "I thought it was going to work."
The opponent launched the shield deep into the wall, just as it was about to enter the next classroom.
Shuren desperately lunged to get his shield. He now knew he had to fight the opponent with only his skill and might.
"Only if Cid helped me," Shuren thought. "He is basically almost dead. I want to help him, but I cannot. If I do, we will both fall."
Now, Shuren got his shield back from the Elite Mob. After dodging multiple consecutive attacks, Shuren finally regained his shield.
Suddenly, a voice arose from behind him.
"Shuren..." Cid whimpered. "Use your fists to attack it in its waist."
Even after the near-death experience from getting slammed by the Elite Mob, Cid was still as helpful as ever.
Shuren nodded in agreement to his command. He knew it was for the best.
Without wasting any time, Shuren lunged towards the opponent.
Luckily, Shuren got a clean hit to the waist, and instantly the goblin warrior cried out in pain.
"ARGHGHHGH!!!"
Shuren was stunned while Cid just smirked
Ah, now Shuren was completely sure.
In this fight, Cid was the brains, and Shuren was the body.
"Another one to the stomach," Cid cried out. "It's going to make the thing weaker."
The opponent was too powerful to overpower. If they wanted to win, they had to wear it down.
Again, Shuren attacked the Elite opponent, but this time in its stomach.
"GRRrrr..." The opponent screamed. Right before its voice completely faded away.
"Whoa," Shuren said, surprised. "It made it weaker!" "Ah, this might be our only chance to win.
"Soooo... What next?"
"Just fight..." Cid commanded.
"Huff. Fine..." Said Shuren, tired.
As they were in the middle of talking to each other. The goblin swung again.
Shuren barely realised what had happened and tried desperately to block the attack. He forgot he even had a shield... So... he blocked it with his bare hands.
"AHHHHH!" Shuren shouted in deep pain. It almost felt as if his bones were completely broken. Well, atleast it wasn't.
"GRRR?" The goblin warrior spouted. It most likely thought that the attack would break Shuren's hand.
It couldn't be any more wrong...
Just as the goblin moved its head low, around the six-foot-5-inch area.
Shuren planted his feet a step forward.
He added every ounce of his strength into a singular punch.
His fist crashed into the Goblin Warrior's jaw.
A giant crack echoed through the bloody hallway.
The giant that was almost unkillabe before stumbled backwards as blood sprayed across the floor.
It fell.
After a near-death fight, the opponent had finally fallen.
"Huff..." Shuren sighed immediately before he dropped to his knees.
"Ah... finally." Cid sighed.
"It was all me," Shuren smirked with sarcasm. "If you say so..." Cid sighed with a smile on his face.
They faced a formidable opponent. It was strong and fast, with almost unlimited stamina. Without the help of each other, at this power level, they could've only dreamed of beating it.
After what felt like an eternity, Cid's system screen popped up.

"Well, I did do more work in the battle. And I was already level three before," Shuren said, finding a reason to have more levels than Cid. "Ah, that makes sense," Cid replied.
A crowd of heads popped up at the other end of the hallway.
"What! They actually killed that abomination..." Some students around the front of the crowd spoke. "I thought it was only possible with like a team of 20 people."
Cid looked at the body he and his friend had killed. He wondered, he wondered if he could bring something that terrifying into his collection.
But as the bystanders were praising Shuren's skills and Cid's tactical thinking during the intense battle, another system message rose in front of Cid's very own eyes.
