The Royal Library was situated on the right side of the palace, physically connected to the main structure and topped by a three-story chalk-white tower.
It was said that the highest level of royal knowledge was sealed within the top floor of that tower. Without a token from the Holy King, not even the library's head administrator could open its doors. Calca looked down at the royal token in her hand; it was a slightly flattened small rod, featuring the Holy Kingdom's national emblem etched in blue at the center and inlaid with gold around the edges. She could feel magic constantly swirling around the device.
She had requested this item earlier that morning. Waiting for the token had taken quite some time, causing her to miss her chance to "fleece" some knowledge from Brilliant-Angel-Mao~Miao during the morning session. Now, finally, she stood before the library.
An elderly man stood at the entrance, dressed in white priest robes and appearing to be in his sixties or seventies. As Calca approached, he bowed slightly in greeting. "Welcome, Princess Calca."
"Hello, Grandpa Rosta," Calca responded politely.
Essentially everyone working in the Royal Library was a member of the Holy Kingdom's royal family. They were not only priests but also possessed specialized skills, such as faster scroll transcription, mastery of casting techniques, and the ability to craft Third-Tier magic scrolls. This was already Tier-1 level technology compared to the surrounding nations. Calca suspected there might be rare classes available here as well, but considering the grueling "ascetic" requirements to obtain them, she decided to pass.
There were twenty-one priests in the entire library, all of whom were at the Third Tier. Six of them were capable of using low-level Fourth-Tier magic through the use of [Maximize Magic]. Grandpa Rosta was one of those six, and he served as the head administrator.

Calca showed her token and asked, "Grandpa Rosta, are there any books suitable for me? For instance, something regarding systematic foundational magic theory that would complement my studies in the classroom?"
Rosta smiled and stroked his white beard. He had originally expected the young princess to be impatient, perhaps demanding Fourth or Fifth-Tier knowledge just to show off; he hadn't expected her to be so grounded.
"Princess Calca, you indeed need a foundation. However, most of the knowledge taught in the classroom originates from here. If it were anyone else, I wouldn't have a specific recommendation, but you are different." Rosta signaled for Calca to follow him. "There is an autobiography in this library written by a past royal family member who also possessed the 'Magic Affinity' talent. It records the application of Magic Affinity, as well as an analysis of 'Mana Aura'."
"Mana Aura?" This was the first time Calca had heard the term. She instinctively thought of Ainz's "Despair Aura" or a Demon General's "Flame Aura."
Rosta explained, "The concept of Mana Aura was first proposed by those possessing the 'Arcane Vision' talent. Every magic caster is surrounded by an invisible field of energy that corresponds to the mana within their body. Ordinary casters rely on intuition to judge strength, but those with 'Arcane Vision' can see it directly and refer to it as Mana Aura."
Rosta pulled a thick book from the shelf and handed it to Calca. "Princess, do you feel that the Magic Affinity you possess allows you to sense mana, or is it Mana Aura? Or perhaps... something else entirely?"
The old man looked at Calca, a meaningful smile playing on his lips.
