Chapter 64 - Gently Wake the Sleeping Heart

Malibu Mansion – The Workshop

"Arcee, send the Compound V formula to J.A.R.V.I.S. Let my brother study it."

"Compound V?" Tony looked up. "What's that?"

"The local specialty I told you about."

"Local specialty?"

Tony raised a brow. Even his excitement about immediately starting the Mark VI Armor faltered.

Leon had sworn this was something he would absolutely love.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., project it. Now."

"Projection complete, Sir."

A cascade of molecular structures and biochemical formulas filled the air—so dense and intricate that Leon couldn't make heads or tails of it.

Tony, however, fell silent almost instantly.

Minutes later, he leaned back, stroking his chin.

"Well?"

Leon crossed his arms expectantly. "Worth the hype?"

"…It's interesting," Tony admitted.

Then his tone shifted.

"But it requires staged injections during infancy for permanent results. That's unacceptable. I'm not experimenting on babies."

"Second—power manifestation is wildly unstable. Adult injection has a near-total fatality rate."

He lightly punched Leon's shoulder.

"Good thing you gave me the formula and not the finished product. Otherwise this would count as attempted fratricide."

Tony would never inject anything blindly—not now. The reckless phase had been fueled by a death sentence.

Now that he had a future again, he wasn't about to gamble it away.

"Should I call Dr. Banner?" Leon asked.

"No need."

Tony waved dismissively.

"With a complete formula? I can handle this myself."

"Give me a week. I'll casually pick up a doctorate in advanced biogenetics."

"I already have a modification draft forming."

"…You're learning it from scratch?" Leon stared.

Tony shrugged.

"Please. It's just biology."

Leon sighed.

"Fine. Call me when you're done."

He turned to leave.

"Thanks, Leon."

The words were simple. Quiet.

Leon paused—but didn't turn around.

He merely lifted a hand and waved.

Brothers didn't need more.

Next step…

Time to get some Vibranium.

He glanced down at his Soldier Boy Suit.

Vought had engineered it to be exceptionally durable—but it could be better.

And Arcee's upgrades would require significant Vibranium reserves as well.

Might as well.

If it ever came in handy, he'd thank himself.

South Sudan – Klaue's Base

Leon shifted into his Super Deadpool persona and infiltrated Ulysses Klaue's hidden scrapyard facility.

He didn't even need to show himself.

His Observation Haki sensed the Vibranium immediately.

A thumb-sized fragment.

That was it.

Leon was unimpressed.

He had no idea how much blood and manpower Klaue had burned just to obtain that tiny piece.

After Arcee confirmed through hacking that this was truly Klaue's entire remaining stock—

Leon sighed.

"Fine."

He generously "gifted" Klaue an Ex-Wife Missile.

Problem solved.

Next stop—

The British Museum.

One ancient Wakandan Vibranium farming tool later—

Leon added it to his inventory.

Easy pickup.

Eastern Africa – 20,000 Meters Above Wakanda

Now wearing the Soldier Boy Suit again, Leon hovered high above the clouds.

Below—

Wakanda.

Hidden beneath a Vibranium cloaking barrier, disguised as primitive farmland.

Leon narrowed his eyes.

Time to give these prideful isolationists a little Homelander-style reality check.

He broke the sound barrier.

And descended like a meteor.

Inside Wakanda – Border Region

King T'Chaka, current Black Panther and ruler of Wakanda, walked beside his son, Prince T'Challa, future king.

They were returning from eliminating Vibranium thieves at the border.

Dressed in humble tribal attire, escorted by the Dora Milaje.

T'Chaka was at the tail end of his prime—still formidable, but beginning to age.

He had brought T'Challa along intentionally.

To teach him.

To prepare him.

"Father," T'Challa said, youthful intensity in his voice, "Vibranium theft attempts have increased in recent months. We cannot remain reactive forever. We should strike preemptively."

T'Chaka regarded him calmly.

"You may be right, my son. But Wakanda is not prepared to reveal itself to a world filled with predators."

"Why?" T'Challa pressed. "Our technology surpasses theirs by decades—centuries even. Why do we hide?"

"Is Bast's will truly for us to cower on land rich only in Vibranium?"

"T'Challa."

T'Chaka's tone shifted instantly—no longer father, but king.

"Mind your words."

"I am still the ruler of Wakanda."

T'Challa lowered his head, jaw tight.

T'Chaka softened slightly.

"The world is not simple."

"Vibranium made Wakanda great."

"It could also destroy us."

T'Challa hesitated.

For a fleeting moment, an image flashed in his mind—

A golden figure descending like a god.

He swallowed.

"I understand, Father."

T'Chaka placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I grow older. One day, the future will be yours."

"When that day comes, lead boldly."

"But remember—"

"If Vibranium is lost, Wakanda survives."

"If the people are lost… there is no Wakanda."

"Yes, Father."

T'Challa felt inspired—charged with purpose.

And then—

BOOM.

A thunderous impact echoed across the sky.

BOOM.

Again.

BOOM.

The protective dome shimmered violently.

T'Challa looked up.

The sky—

Was cracking.

Wakanda's cloaking barrier rippled and fractured under unimaginable force.

Above it—

A blazing human-shaped comet hammered down.

Leon.

Knocking.

On Wakanda's door.
