Chapter 51 - Chapter : 7 [The Time Travel] (Extended Part - lll)

The Circle of Destiny:

The salt-heavy breeze of the East Sea felt like a homecoming. After years of the frantic, metallic pulse of Seoul, returning to Busan felt like stepping back into a warm memory. But this wasn't a memory Cherry was visiting through a magical diamond; this was the reality she had built.

Cherry stood on the balcony of a coastal hotel, looking out at the Gwangandaegyo Bridge. In her hand was an invitation, embossed in gold: The Wedding of Kim Jung-Hun and Park Cherry.

The Architect's Masterpiece:

Jung-Hun had kept his promise. He hadn't just become an architect; he had become one of the most sought-after designers in the country. His graduation project—a library shaped like an open book facing the sea—had won national acclaim.

But for his greatest project, he had chosen something personal. He had designed their future home himself. It was a house built on the cliffs of Busan, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows so they could always see the horizon.

As he walked onto the balcony and wrapped his arms around Cherry's waist, he whispered, "Are you nervous?"

Cherry leaned back against his chest. "Not at all. I've lived through the worst version of this story, Jung-Hun. Nothing in this world could scare me now."

He kissed the top of her head. "I still don't fully understand what you mean when you talk about 'the other story,' but I'm glad I'm in this one with you."

The Wedding Day:

The ceremony was held on the very beach where they used to walk after school. The guest list was small but filled with the people who mattered most.

Cherry's father, Park Min-gu-wo, looked younger than he ever had in the original timeline. The stress of the Incheon transfer had never aged him. He walked Cherry down the aisle, his eyes glistening with pride. "You were right to make us stay, AK—I mean, Cherry," he corrected himself with a chuckle. "This city gave us everything."

Park Sweeten, her mother, sat in the front row, holding a lace handkerchief. She watched as her daughter, now a successful author and diplomat, stood before the boy from Class 8.

When it was time for the vows, Jung-Hun didn't read from a paper. He looked directly into Cherry's eyes.

"Cherry, for a long time, I was a boy who lived in the shadows. I watched you from afar and thought we were from different worlds. But you reached out. You changed the trajectory of my life. I don't know if it was fate or just your courage, but I promise to spend every day of my life making sure you never regret choosing me."

Cherry's voice was steady, filled with the wisdom of two lifetimes. "Jung-Hun, I once thought I needed a miracle to be with you. I thought I needed a diamond to fix my life. But the real miracle wasn't the time travel. The miracle was the way you looked at me in Class 8, and the way you look at me now. I give you my past, my present, and every version of my future."

The River's Secret:

The day after the wedding, before they left for their honeymoon, Cherry took a solitary walk to the deep river where she had thrown the diamond years ago.

She stood on the bridge, looking down into the dark, rushing water. For a moment, she wondered if the diamond was still there, glowing in the mud, waiting for someone else who needed a second chance.

"Thank you," she whispered to the water.

She realized then that the diamond hadn't just taken her back in time; it had tested her. If she had remained the shy, silent girl she was before, she would have lost Jung-Hun again, even in the past. The time travel gave her the opportunity, but her own voice—the words she chose to speak to her father and to Jung-Hun—was what actually saved her.

A New Beginning:

The story of Park Cherry and Kim Jung-Hun didn't end with a "happily ever after" in a fairytale sense. It began with a new chapter of hard work, family, and shared dreams.

They moved into their house on the cliff. Cherry wrote her first book—a story about a girl who found a diamond on a plane—and it became a bestseller. Jung-Hun continued to build structures that defined the skyline of Busan.

Every morning, they woke up to the sound of the waves. And every morning, Cherry would look at the man beside her and smile, knowing that while time is a river that usually flows only one way, love is the anchor that keeps you exactly where you belong.

The End
