I stood there for a second, appalled to have her go like this. "She doesn't look alright at all…" I thought out loud, thinking that I shouldn't let her starve since it might as well be my fault for making her stay more than an hour. Therefore, I went back to my desk and used the speed dial.
It doesn't matter. If she won't talk to her superior, I can. The thought of her starving for the rest of the day weighed on me. "Eva, order two lunches, please."
"On it, Sir." She said without questioning it.
"Oh, I think there's a spicy option where we usually order, right?"
"I believe there is, yes."
"Great. Make one order of the usual menu and the other one spicy."
"... One spicy?"
"Yes," I replied, already aware that she could tell it wasn't for me. "Send that one to Miss Burry on the 18th floor. She lost her lunch time because of the meeting with me."
"I understand."
"Inform her team manager too. So she will be able to eat comfortably without getting in trouble."
