Chapter 67: The Light That Falls on Punk Hazard
"Master Itachi... this is?"
Law found himself alive—unharmed, despite the devastating kick that should have killed them both.
Before them stood Susano'o's skeletal frame. Behind them, Itachi's wounded abdomen bled freely.
"How long until your Room can teleport us out?" Itachi rose.
"Ten minutes. Maybe less—if I push."
"Ten minutes." Itachi's Haki flowed into Wind Forest Fire. "Enough to decide a battle."
Susano'o faded. He charged from the ruins.
Kizaru reformed on the island, Yata no Kagami depositing him smoothly.
"Troublesome kids. So troublesome."
His hands spread. Light gathered—coalescing into the Ama no Murakumo sword.
"You seem to have interesting abilities."
He moved—flash kick launching—
And stopped.
Susano'o's ribs materialized, catching the blow.
Itachi's hands moved through seals.
"KATON: HŌSENKA NO JUTSU!"
Fireballs erupted. Kizaru dodged, appearing elsewhere—then charged again.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Blades met—Ama no Murakumo against Wind Forest Fire. Kizaru's speed was absurd, each strike faster than the last, each forcing Itachi back.
"Primitive weapons can't match me, boy."
FLASH.
Kizaru appeared behind Itachi—kick already launching—
BOOM.
And stopped. Susano'o's back caught it.
Kizaru's eyebrow rose behind cracked sunglasses.
"What IS this? Why can't I—"
Itachi's eyes spun.
"TSUKUYOMI."
The world went red.
Pain—infinite—but Kizaru's Haki exploded, shattering the illusion in an instant.
But that instant was enough.
Susano'o's hand—massive—closed around him.
Law stared from the ruins, strength recovering. "He CAUGHT him?!"
Kizaru's Kenbunshoku screamed warnings. He gathered Haki—broke the genjutsu—
Too late.
Susano'o crushed.
Kizaru dissolved into light—but even light couldn't escape that grip entirely. Pain lanced through his reformed consciousness.
Itachi's blade followed.
Kizaru's upper body materialized, Ama no Murakumo blocking.
"Boy... what fruit did you eat?!"
His finger pointed—laser fired—
The Itachi before him dissolved into crows.
The ground beneath him softened.
"DOTON: RYŪFUN!" — Earth Release: Mud Flow!
Kizaru sank into mud—Itachi erupted from below, blade rising—
Kizaru blocked with Ama no Murakumo.
"WHAT ARE YOU?!"
Lasers fired—crows scattered.
Kenbunshoku screamed—another Itachi beneath him.
He leaped—lasers blasting the mud—
Susano'o's fist met him mid-air.
BOOM.
Kizaru flew—genuine surprise on his face.
"That hardness—"
Susano'o's hand—now armored, Haki-coated—reached.
And caught him.
Kizaru tried to dissolve—couldn't.
Tried to move—couldn't.
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
Itachi slammed him into the ground.
BOOM.
The island shook. Kizaru coughed blood.
Susano'o's grip tightened. Sunglasses shattered. Body deformed.
Itachi's right eye bled.
"AMATERASU."
Black flames erupted.
Kizaru burned—screaming—unable to escape—unable to reform—Susano'o's Haki-coated grip holding him in place.
Law watched from the ruins, understanding dawning.
That armored hand—it's coated in Haki. Kizaru can't logia his way out!
The black flames raged.
Itachi held until the light dimmed—until the struggling stopped—until Susano'o's hand held only burning darkness.
Then—he released.
Susano'o faded.
Itachi's vision blurred. Pain exploded behind his eyes. The repeated use—Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, Susano'o—had drained him nearly to emptiness.
But Kizaru fell.
"Itachi-san..." Law's voice was awed. "You... you KILLED an Admiral?!"
Itachi nodded weakly.
"It's over."
On the warships, Marines stared.
Silence.
Then—
"ADMIRAL BORSALINO!"
"KILLED?!"
"By a PIRATE?!"
"That's the Navy's strongest! An ADMIRAL!"
Law's Room expanded steadily. Ten minutes. They could make it.
"Itachi-san... what ARE you? Kizaru was top-tier—"
Light.
Law's words died.
Itachi turned.
Above them—blazing—Kizaru rose.
Burned. Wounded. Bloody and broken.
But alive.
His torn coat fell away. His shirtless torso gleamed—wounds visible, but his arms rose.
"YATA NO KAGAMI..."
Light gathered.
"AMA NO MURAKUMO!"
The sky blazed.
Itachi's eyes widened.
Kizaru's voice—no longer lazy, no longer playful—thundered.
"EIGHT-FOOT JEWEL GAUNTLET!!!"
