After kindly requesting, the guards waited outside the room whilst Adal slept.
Once he had awakened, he found the men standing outside in the same manner that he had left them.
The sun glistened through the windows highlighting their bright pink armours.
"I hope you men have had a good night's rest? We have a busy day ahead of us, and you would not want to fall asleep midday."
For a moment, the guards remained silent. Adal could still see nothing of their faces beneath their helmets.
Eventually, one spoke.
"I am not a man..."
Adal blinked a few times.
"Excuse me?"
Rather than answering with words, the knight removed their helmet.
When their identity was revealed, Adal almost couldn't believe what he was seeing.
