Floor 67, the last resting place in all of the known dungeon, even to the Zeus and Hera familia. The last place that Ceraunius and Gamelia would be able to reup their growth buff they had for each other. Completing their love making, the two helped straighten the other's outfits with a loving touch.
"Everything past this point has the potential to warm us up a bit." Ceraunius said, kissing Gamelia's nape with passion.
"I'm excited, my love. Let us go on an adventure, together… full of love, and dead monsters." Gamelia replied, tilting her head back as she enjoyed her husband's loving touch.
Floor 68 the two fought through the white hot fire and flames, constantly thanking their past experiences and each other for everything… Together they survived the trials of the 68th floor…
The 69th floor made them giggle a few times, making promises to each other regarding the funny number. This floor was the final one before the next zone. And the monster rex here, one of the strongest monsters around, Echion The Great Giant.
"Looks like someone isn't too happy to see us." Gamelia teased.
"Yeah, I think it's long since time to end his peaceful rest." Ceraunius smirked
"If I remember correctly, Empress managed to level up off this thing. Even with several others helping out in major ways."
"You're right, and with her ability at her level, compared to where we are now… I couldn't ask for a better target to level us up."
"Same, and there's no one else I'd rather fight beside than you, my hubby."
…
While the married couple fought, other developments were happening on the surface. One of them just so happened to be the occasional quake, giving people pause. And the other…
"Lady Astraea, we're home, we all made it back alive, in with all of our limbs." Alise expressed, cheerfully opening the door with enthusiasm.
"Welcome home, Alise, everyone. I'm glad you made it out." Astraea smiled, letting a few happy tears fall. "It's a wonderful relief to have you all back home. We should go out to eat, for a celebration."
"Lady Astraea? What's wrong?" Alise ran over to her goddess, and held her hand, just barely preventing herself from rubbing all up against Astraea.
"It's his fault." Astraea pointed to a well built man in an elephant mask.
"A hunk dares to make our goddess cry that, Justice shall be swift, come on." Kaguya started, gritting her teeth.
"No wait, please wait a moment ladies. I am…" He flew to his feet, posing in various ways to really make his muscles pop. "...GANESHA!!! AHAHAHA! I am glad to see you've returned safely, even with the knowledge of Rudra familia's affiliation with evilus."
"WHAT?! You knew?"
"No, no, no, it's not like that ladies. I swear it! Shakti and the others only recently found the evidence linking them and a handful of others to Evilus."
"Oh, so then, Uhm, Lady Astraea, while the others get the bath ready, would it be alright to give you the report… I think the muscle bound freak there might benefit from hearing our report."
"I am curious what happened to the Rudra fam…"
"Wiped out. Not even ashes remained of them… They were so brutally destroyed, it was almost like they weren't even there to begin with."
"Wow, Alise, I didn't think you and the girls had it in you to do that." Shakti blinked, reluctantly forced to stay put in her chair thanks to responsibilities demanding her to protect Ganesha. "Did my sister help? I find it hard for m-m-my beautiful little sister would kill with such ferocity."
"Shakti… What I'm about to report will make what happened clear. And Lady Astraea I'm only telling the truth."
"Go ahead."
It wasn't but 10 minutes later when a god, goddess, and human all wore the same look. Utter bewilderment, and a feeling of utter disbelief.
"So, the final cards those two had to play have started moving. I was wondering when they would. I am Ganesha."
"Wait, so you expected this?" Alise and Shakti both asked in unison.
"Of course, one doesn't just give a god's name to a child if there aren't any long term hopes for them. I am Ganesha!"
"God's names?"
"That's right, Ceraunius is one of the many names Zeus bears. And Gamelia is one of Hera's names. It's practically poetry that those two would get married just like Zeus and Hera did. I am Ganesha!"
"Alise, why don't you go and take a bath, relax for a bit." Astraea smiled.
Alise left with a nod, and scampered off to the hot bath.
"Shakti, would you mind waiting in the other room? I am Ganesha."
"Huh? Oh, yes."
It was now down to just the two gods. Both were standing while the discussion continued.
"What should I do?"
"That is up to you, Astraea. I am not you, I am Ganesha."
"I have to reward them for what they did, but, I know very well it was my children who were responsible for Alfia's death. Does Gamelia hold any resentment for that?" Astraea wondered aloud. "What is justice… What should I do to thank them for letting my children come home safely to my arms?"
"Uhm… Why not ask them what they want? I don't know them personally, but if it's possible to talk to them, I'm sure all questions will be answered. I am Ganesha."
"I'll do that. But first, I'll spend some alone time with my children." Astraea said, and walked by Ganesha, her walnut brown hair following her with a slight delay.
She didn't stop to address Shakti, instead the latter decided to return to Ganesha's side.
"We should go, they'll need time to comfort each other. Let's head back and see what we can do about getting in touch with those two."
"I am Ganesha… Let's go."
…
The two were breathing hard, and heavy, blood and sweat covered them from head to toe. Laying on their backs, they'd laugh every once in a while.
"We did it…"
"Yes, we did…"
"Did you see that, Alfia?"
"How about you, Zald?"
""We killed that monster rex!""
They relaxed, and slowly sat up…
"Pfft, you know they'd be grinning ear to ear if they were really here, hubby."
"They are here… They'll always be with us…" Ceraunius trembled slightly.
"You're right, they are never truly gone."
Ceraunius stood, and reached out his hand to Gamelia, helping her up. He didn't need to, she could get up on her own, but this wasn't a matter of ability, rather love.
"Let's gather those drops, and make our way back to the 67th floor. I want to bathe and wash my clothes." Gamelia said, shaking some of the blood off of her body, spraying Ceraunius with some of it. She giggled as he didn't bother complaining.
