"Hey, old man? These two? Who are they exactly? And what does this have to do with making it rain?" A villager asked, as he helped support his wife clearly pregnant with twins at the least.
"Stay calm, and watch, they want to make it a show. The rain will come." Zeus answered with a warm expression. Causing the man to feel as though he was wrapped in a protective embrace. "Those two are just showing their love, just how much they really love each other."
Ceraunius and Gamelia parted their lips with a sign of their reluctance to part clear in their eyes. Then, they broke into dance, staring into each other's eyes, and the sound of music playing followed their every movement, and step.
"Huh? Where's that music coming from?"
"I don't know, but it's so wonderful, it feels soothing, and comforting."
"Look there, in the sky." Zaria pointed out with a joyful shock.
Bell looked up to where his sister was pointing. His jaw fell slightly, watching the lightning sparkling away in the sky above. He gulped in awe, as he felt something shift.
"Wow…" Bell managed to utter before going silent again, opting to enjoy the magic. A sentiment the rest of the villagers had as well… Some in different ways.
As Ceraunius and Gamelia's eyes sparkled and crackled with the domineering power of the sky, lightning arced… Ceraunius lifted his right arm, spinning Gamelia underneath and out, trailing faint threads of lightning through her path. Ending with the two of them out stretched…
The sky replied, swirling with clouds mirroring Gamelia's motion. She spun back into Ceraunius, her back pressed tight against his chest, she could feel his powerful muscles, and once more the sky replied. The two kissed in this position before continuing their waltz of a dance.
With every movement the two made, the sky reflected it with a terrifyingly accurate measure. Villagers started feeling the change in the air, and began to dance together as well. Though they danced, the rain did not come, not yet. It was close… Lightning danced, bouncing from cloud to cloud with relentless persistence, a proof of how powerful the love between these two were.
"They are spirits."
"They must be."
"Magic like this is…"
"A miracle."
As the villager spoke that word, a drop of rain landed upon their head. And then, the storm forged in the sky, from the power of two mages' love, opened. Mighty bolts of lightning struck the ground all over, yet nothing was set alight. And rain fell down in abundance with a light breeze.
"Ahaha! It's raining! It's raining!!!" A child laughed, jumping up and down.
"It's really raining…" Some fell to their knees in sheer awe.
"Magic that can change the weather… And it was so beautiful."
"Ahahaha! That was a wonderful display, Ceraunius & Gamelia. You've come a long way, the others would have been proud." Zeus laughed.
Ceraunius and Gamelia didn't respond, they were too enamored with each other, dancing away through the rain.
"Perhaps we should let them dance their hearts out." Hera smiled. "We can go back and read stories."
"You two alright?"
Zaria was completely ignoring everything else. She was embracing the feeling in the air. What she saw, she promised herself she'd never forget. The mighty sound to end all others, the boom of thunder, and crack of lightning.
Bell was similarly enjoying the feeling… The sensation of what magic could do… The sky was the only limit, it was a power to end all suffering, to change his, and others fates.
""Magic is… the sound/power of love/fate"" Zaria and Bell finally uttered, their eyes sparkling and holding their cupped hands out catching some rain, then drank.
Hera and Zeus looked at the twins, and then each other, with widening eyes. Then right back to the twins, and then to Ceraunius and Gamelia.
"Was this your plan all along?" Zeus asked, with a look of surprise.
"Perhaps, you're not the only one who can hide things from others." Gamelia giggled.
"Bell, Zaria. You're both filled with potential. If it is your desire to see that potential realized, we will aid you in drawing it out. Think about it while you return to the house." Ceraunius smiled, rubbing both of their heads with the powerful hand of someone who's gone through hell.
"Where will you go?"
"I need to go take care of a couple things. You can talk with grandma and grandpa about it. Remember, do not make this decision lightly."
Ceraunius stood, gave a smile, and then he and Gamelia took off in a bolt of lightning.
Zeus was about to take bell's hand, but Bell and Zaria took each other's hands and started walking back to the house. Zeus and Hera followed behind them, watching the moment that decided the course of their lives.
""To be or not to be, a hero?""
"Bell, you know what you want to do?" Zaria asked with a sparkling smile.
"Mhmm, you know what you want too, Zaria?" Bell asked, with a similar smile.
"Mhmm, and I know what you want too!"
"I know what you want too."
It was quiet for the rest of the walk back to their home, and then, upon reaching the door.
""We are twins, and we will be heroes."" Bell and Zaria declared, and then went inside and straight to the hearth to warm up.
"Another shift, hmm… Ceraunius and Gamelia managed to pull off what I thought would take them years to reach." Zeus said, wondering if he had been wrong to wait this long for them to enter the scene.
"Don't worry, those two just have a way about them to inspire others. I'm sure that's how he got invited into an all woman familia."
"True… Perhaps this is how it was meant to be?"
"Perhaps it is just one of the many possible outcomes. We won't know, and it's not like she'd ever tell us, let alone chaos himself."
"Either way, it seems we should be prepared to lose the last of our familia. Hera, you know that means…"
"We'll find more members, I refuse to give up my search! I'll find each of my girls over again. I don't care how many centuries it takes."
"Or this guilt will never cease…"
"Exactly…"
