The next morning, Micheal sat in his office chair with dark circles around his eyes. 'Seems you didn't sleep last night.' His colleague voiced. 'Just some work I had to stay up all night.' Micheal said. 'Man you know who I am right? Don't lie to me, tell me who she is.' His colleague and friend asked. 'What are you talking about? What girl are you talking about?' Micheal asked back. His friend Joel diverted his gaze from the computer and stared directly at him before saying, 'You know when you are in love when you can't sleep, 'cause reality is finally better than your dreams.' Micheal breathed out sharply at Joel's words. 'The thing is I don't know her. I saw her at the beach unconscious so I took her to the hospital. When she woke up, she could not remember her name. I and my siblings decided to let her stay in our house.' Micheal revealed. 'Hmm why don't you just confess to her. For the Micheal that I know you are not the type to woo a woman. You are direct so... just tell her.' Joel suggested. "Joel I don't know her feelings for me, and all I can always see in her eyes is undeserving and lost. She feels lost and she thinks she doesn't deserve all that she we gives her but the truth is we aren't even doing anything. We just treats her like a normal person. Me on the other hand, I just got disappointed a few weeks ago by a woman I was falling for. And it always makes me want to close my mind on her cause the probability of her agreeing to be with me is very minimal." Michael explained. "Why don't you risk it, you don't expect to find true love when you are not ready to risk. You have to risk something and take every chance you get." "Thank bro. I will think about it." "Good. That afternoon Eric went to Dabson Mansion to see if Claudia's mother, Mrs. Sarah has heard of her husband and also see if she was doing well. When he entered the hall, his heart sank. Mrs. Sarah was laying in a pool of blood. Eric quickly took out his phone and call the ambulance. He ran to her and took off his coat. He pressed it on her wound, putting pressure on her wound to stop the blood. "You are going to be alright. Just hold on for some time okay." Eric encouraged. Sarah smiled sadly as tears flowed from the conner of her eyes. She caressed his cheek with her bloody hand. 'After all these years, I finally found you, son." Sarah said. Eric was obviously confuse but he didn't want to waist her strength left. And maybeshemight be talking out of hallucinationfrom the pain. "Well, Well, Well..." "See who we have here?" It was Claudia's father, Mr Bob. Eric looked at the man's face with pure hatred. "Are you even a human?!" Eric shouted. The man smirked, laughing foolishly at him. He held
in his left hand a crotch. "I don't think you are in the position to shout. It's my time. I am the boss here." Eric wanted to tear the man apart but he was outnumbered "Fuck you son of a bitch" Eric cursed. Bob signaled for one of his men to gave him a gun. He pointed the gun at Eric. "You are the reason I am holding this stupid thing and I am going to make you pay." He hissed. "Bob please don't do it. He
is our son, he is Gilbert. Look... look at the mark on his neck." Mrs. Sarah forced herself to voiced loud enough for the man to hear. Bob was startled. His expression quickly changed.
He walked up to Eric with the help of the crotch but before he could get to close enough, Eric shouted at him not to come any close him. He wondered why the ambulance was taking so long. Even though he has put pressure on her wonud but it
was not enough.
Bob called two of his men to hold Eric down as he wanted to see if his wife was telling the truth.
Eric was not able to fight back since he was holding Sarah. He was afraid his movement of fighting back might cause her more pain to the one she was going through at the moment.
After being secured, Bob walked up to him and clear his hair of his neck. Eric's mark was two dots like a vampire mark the mark was one of the thing Mr Bob liked very much since Eric's birth. Bob took an abrupt step back as he turned pale. "This can't be. I... I searched for you everywhere We thought you were dead. Son you are really alive." Bob said in disbelief and great joy. Eric felt disgusted being call son by the man. But before he could voice his opinion, they heard the crys of the ambulance getting near and near. His eyes that had turned hursh toward Bob awhile ago softened when he looked at Sarah "You hear that? You are going to be fine. Just hold on a little more for me okay?" Eric said. Sarah nodded her head. She didn't believed she was going to make it but she will try her very best. She thought she had to spend more time with her son. She felt like all thoes years they have lost, she should make amends. And... and her daughter... she had to find her and make her see her brother again. The sibling loved eachother alot. She was picturing how Claudia will look when she comes to know that her beloved brother is alive. Soon after, medics came in and took Sarah away. Eric volunteered and went with them to the hospital.
That night in the Cruz mansion, Claudia had a nightmare. She couldn't sleep again. She went downstairs to get a glass of water. That was when she saw Michael sitting on the couch busy on his laptop while he had some files on the coffee table. "Hey." Michael turned to her with his eyebrow knitted "I came to get a glass of water." Claudia answered as if she could read his mind. "Okay." Michael said and Claudia proceeded to the kitchen. She came back to the hall and asked Michael if she could sit with him. "Why not." Michael answered. Claudia stared at him while he did his work on the laptop.
Mich felt like melting with her gaze on him so he decided to start a conversation. "So how have you been late. I haven't had time to check on you well." He said. "I have been good. I've even started to have nightmares about my past." Claudia revealed. "Oh that good then. You... wanna talk about it?" Mich asked. "It's just about a little girl who was playing with a boy when on the cliff. The girl sliped and the boy tried to save her. Even though he was able pull her up but he slip when helping the little girl at safe place and fell into the river. Then after that another one will come. It was the little girl being hugged by her mother as she cried when her father shouted at her that she is the reason why her brother died.
She looked up to see Micheal's expression but he just stared her and she couldn't read his expression. "I think that girl is me. The little girl." She added. "Why do you think so?" "'Cause the nightmare that just woke me up; I saw myself standing before the same man. He was instructing me to only come home after I've gotten married to a certain man, I don't remember his name. After all that was the only way I can become useful after kill his son" "Oh... You know... you don't have to feel bad cause you haven't gotten all your memories back yet and there can be more to this okay?" "I am trying. But I just can't stop asking myself 'what if' question. Like, what if I am not a good person and what if there was more to you finding me at the sea?" "Then don't think too much. Let's talk about something else... Here I am planning and advertisment for a canned beef. Do you wanna help?" Michael handed Claudia his laptop and the woman studied his plan. It was a video that showed a woman who was preparing her meal in her kitchen using the company's canned beef called elite canned beef.
