Chapter 59 - Chapter Eight – The Devil’s Hunt

The city didn't sleep that night.

It couldn't.

Because something had changed.

Something dangerous.

Something unstoppable.

Alessandro De Luca had stopped thinking like a ruler.

And started acting like a man with something to lose.

The Order

Inside the war room, every screen lit up at once.

Maps.

Signals.

Surveillance feeds.

Valentina moved quickly between systems, tracking anything that even resembled Syndicate movement.

Adrian stood nearby, unusually serious.

"…I've never seen him like this."

Luca sat restrained in the corner, silent, bruised, and bleeding.

"He's not thinking like a Don anymore," Luca muttered.

Adrian glanced at him.

"No."

"He's thinking like a husband."

No Mercy

Alessandro stood at the center of the room.

Still.

Calm.

Too calm.

"Every port."

"Every warehouse."

"Every safe house we've ever suspected."

His voice was quiet.

But absolute.

"Burn them."

Valentina paused briefly.

"…all of them?"

"Yes."

Adrian let out a low whistle.

"Yeah… they're definitely finished."

The Hunt Begins

Within minutes—

The city erupted.

De Luca soldiers moved like shadows through the streets.

Warehouses were raided.

Ships seized.

Hidden compounds destroyed.

Every known Syndicate contact was hunted down.

Interrogated.

Or eliminated.

This wasn't strategy anymore.

This was annihilation.

The First Lead

An hour later—

Valentina called out,

"I've got something!"

Alessandro turned instantly.

"What?"

"Encrypted signal… east district."

"Temporary relay station."

Adrian grabbed his gun.

"Say less."

The Raid

The building was abandoned.

Or at least—

It looked abandoned.

Alessandro kicked the door open without hesitation.

Inside—

Three Syndicate operatives barely had time to react.

Gunshots echoed.

Fast.

Clean.

Precise.

Within seconds—

They were all dead.

Adrian stepped over one of the bodies.

"Well… that was quick."

Information Extracted

One of them was still breathing.

Barely.

Alessandro crouched beside him.

"Where is she?"

The man laughed weakly.

"You think… we'd tell you?"

Alessandro didn't hesitate.

He twisted the man's arm until a sickening crack echoed through the room.

The scream that followed filled the silence.

Adrian winced slightly.

"…he's really not in the mood tonight."

"Coordinates," Alessandro said coldly.

"Now."

The man broke.

Meanwhile – Awakening

Back at the Syndicate headquarters—

Elena sat alone in a dimly lit room.

No guards.

No restraints.

Which made it worse.

Because it meant one thing.

They weren't afraid of her.

Her eyes moved slowly across the room.

There were cameras.

Hidden.

Watching.

Always watching.

The Feeling

At first, it was subtle.

A strange sensation.

Like something beneath her skin.

A pulse.

A quiet energy.

She frowned.

"What is this…"

Her heartbeat quickened slightly.

And suddenly—

The lights flickered.

The Power

Elena froze.

The flicker wasn't random.

It reacted to her.

To her emotions.

Her breathing slowed.

She focused.

And the lights steadied.

Her eyes widened.

"…no way."

Sebastian Watches

From another room—

Sebastian observed everything on a monitor.

A faint smile appeared.

"There it is."

A Syndicate scientist stood beside him.

"It's activating faster than expected."

Sebastian nodded.

"She's stronger than the previous heirs."

The Truth About Power

Back in the room—

Elena clenched her fist slightly.

The air around her felt… heavier.

Charged.

Alive.

The glass on the table vibrated faintly.

Her breath hitched.

"This… isn't normal."

"No," Sebastian's voice came from the doorway.

"It isn't."

She turned sharply.

"What did you do to me?"

He stepped inside calmly.

"We didn't do anything."

"This is who you are."

The Explanation

Sebastian walked slowly around her.

"The Crown Heir isn't just a title."

"It's a genetic advantage."

"Enhanced perception."

"Accelerated reflexes."

"And in rare cases…"

He glanced at the flickering lights.

"…something more."

Elena shook her head.

"This is impossible."

Sebastian stopped in front of her.

"No."

"It's inevitable."

Back to the Hunt

Alessandro stood over a digital map.

Coordinates blinking on the screen.

Valentina spoke quickly.

"This location… it's outside the city."

"A private zone."

"Unregistered."

Adrian loaded his weapon.

"That's definitely them."

Alessandro turned.

"Prepare the cars."

The War Escalates

Luca looked up from the corner.

"If you go in blind…"

"You'll walk into a trap."

Alessandro didn't even look at him.

"Good."

Luca frowned.

"…you're serious."

Adrian smirked slightly.

"Oh he's very serious."

The Final Scene

Elena stood face-to-face with Sebastian.

Her heart steady now.

Her fear controlled.

"You think you can control me."

Sebastian smiled faintly.

"No."

"I think you'll choose correctly."

Her eyes hardened.

"I won't."

He stepped closer.

"You will."

"Because when he comes for you…"

A pause.

"…he's going to die."

Parallel Ending

At that exact moment—

Alessandro stepped into his car.

Engine roaring to life.

His voice cold.

Focused.

"Drive."

The vehicle sped into the night.

Straight toward the Syndicate.

Straight toward war.
