Chapter 4 - chapter 3

As I walked out of the last class of the day, I felt a rush of excitement. I was finally going home, and I couldn't wait to press my phone and do my own thing without anyone bothering me. But as the days went on, reality started to sink in. I don't have a steady source of income, and I'm still dependent on my parents for support. The little money they send me isn't enough, and I know I need to find a way to support myself.

On Christmas break, I went home and helped my dad with his business. I was hoping to make some money and come back to school with a fresh start. But things didn't go as planned. I tried to help a woman with a transaction, but I made a mistake and accidentally transferred money to the wrong account. My dad was furious, and I felt like I'd let him down.

The worst part was when the woman blamed me for the mistake. She said I was careless and shouldn't have tried to help her. My dad was shocked, and I felt like I'd ruined everything. I was supposed to be helping him, not causing more problems.

I went to bed that night feeling defeated and hurt. I cried myself to sleep, wishing I could just disappear. I felt like I'd never be able to go back to school, like I'd failed everyone. But as the days went by, I realized that I wasn't alone. My family was there for me, even when I made a mistake. They encouraged me to keep going and not give up.

It's been tough, but I'm trying to move forward. I know I can't change what happened, but I can learn from it and do better next time. I'm grateful for my family's support, and I'm determined to make a better future for myself. My father's reaction to the whole ordeal was surprisingly understanding. He didn't blame me for the mistake, instead, he chose to vent his frustrations about the situation. He told me that after the new year, we would go to the office to sort things out and sell some things to make up for the loss.

Together with our neighbors, we decided to complain to the bank's office via Gmail. When my father went with the woman to the bank, one of the staff members was cooperative, but things took a turn when they spoke to her husband. The bank accused me of being involved in the scam, which wasn't true.

My father was told that the owner of the account that received the money must my boyfriend, and since the number was not in the woman beneficiary, it made things more complicated. The bank advised my father to go to court and collect a form, as the owner of the account wasn't responding. They had already locked the account, and it would take some time to resolve.

I was relieved that my father believed me and was handling the situation. He told me to pray and focus on my studies, as I would be resuming school in three days. He wanted me to have enough money for school, so he made sure to give me some, along with other things , like buying noodles.

It was a tough experience, but my father's support made a big difference. I was grateful for his efforts to make things right, and I was looking forward to getting back to school and starting fresh.

My mother called me, concerned about the situation, and asked me to tell her what had happened. I shared the whole story with her, and she listened attentively. She comforted me, saying that the court would pass in our favor, that this was just a trial, and we would get through it.

"It's hurt, it's the worst new year I've ever experienced in my life," i said, empathizing with my pain. I confided in her about my fears of facing another day, especially with my grandfather sick and my dad's business to attend to.

My brothers also chimed in, telling me not to take everything to heart, that I shouldn't let it hurt me so much. Their words of encouragement helped ease the pain a bit, and I felt a sense of relief knowing I had my family's support
