Chapter 306 - 306 Demonstration

What the Ministry of Magic called security checks seemed like child's play to Alan. He watched an old wizard in front of him use his wand to cast spells like Detect Poison and Curse Revelation on the alchemy tools in the box. The main issue was that the wizard's spellcasting level was quite ordinary; was it really necessary to cast spells one by one? Couldn't he even use area-of-effect spells? This truly broadened Alan's horizons.

Alan was held up for over ten minutes before the other party, panting, put away his wand.

"All clear, Perkins?" Arthur looked at the sweating wizard and thoughtfully handed him a handkerchief.

"Yes, it's done. Why did you pack so many things? It really wore me out," the gray-haired Perkins complained, casting a slightly unfriendly glance at Alan.

Alan could only roll his eyes in exasperation. He had been debating whether to develop an alchemy tool for security checks, but after experiencing such inefficient service, he felt it was absolutely necessary. He planned to start working on it as soon as he got back, hoping to make this old man jobless on the spot.

After finally completing the check, the two first went to find Vanessa and asked her to look after Ginny and Hog for a while, as it would be inconvenient to have them present during the demonstration. Subsequently, they arrived late at the practice hall. It looked like a vast banquet hall, brightly lit, with a high ceiling and two rows of dummies for daily Auror practice.

Many people were already standing in the hall. In the center was Minister Bagnold, flanked by Amelia Bones, the current Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement; Cornelius Fudge, the Head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes; and more than ten Hit Wizards led by Moody. Cornelius Fudge, whom he had met once before, had a kind expression and nodded at Alan with a smile.

There were also many other Ministry staff members present whose attire suggested they belonged to various departments. Aseria, whom he had just met, was there as well, standing beside a middle-aged man who was presumably the official from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.

"Sorry, Minister, we are late. The routine inspection took quite some time," Arthur reported as he led Alan to Minister Bagnold.

"It's alright, we've only just all arrived," Minister Bagnold maintained a dignified demeanor, then looked at Alan. "Long time no see. I heard from Moody that the equipment you have is very important for our upcoming operation. You can still bring us surprises after all this time."

*What on earth did Moody tell you to cause such a fuss?* Alan felt somewhat bewildered. Moody, on the other hand, was smiling at him, and when their eyes met, he smugly winked.

"I apologize; I didn't know you valued it so much, and I cannot guarantee it will fully satisfy you." Alan felt it was better to leave himself an escape route, lest Moody inexplicably trick him in the end.

"It was I who told Moody not to be too explicit when he wrote to you," Minister Bagnold shook his head carelessly. "Today's demonstration requires a certain degree of confidentiality, and I also ask you not to publicize today's events afterward."

So that was it. No wonder the letter Alan received was vague. It seemed there had been arrangements made long ago. He wondered what trouble the Ministry of Magic had encountered that required such secrecy.

"I understand. I will keep it confidential. So, to save time, shall I proceed directly with the product demonstration?" Alan looked at Bagnold.

"Hmm," Minister Bagnold mused, then looked at the surrounding crowd. "Amelia, Cornelius, Bianca, you should also take a good look at the equipment Alan is providing and see if it has sufficient value."

The three people beside him all nodded seriously. The man called Bianca was indeed the official from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures standing beside Aseria. Then, dozens of people stared intently at Alan.

Alan looked around; there was no table provided for him to display his equipment. However, he didn't care much. He directly pulled a large table out of his spatial ring, then opened the leather case and neatly arranged the items.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is an honor to present the products of Silver Lightning Alchemy Company to you today," Alan said calmly, delivering his opening remark. Seeing Alan maintain his composure in front of so many high-ranking officials, those watching him silently nodded in approval.

"Our company's alchemy products aim to provide convenience and assurance for wizards on the front lines. Next, I will demonstrate the functions of these products one by one."

With that, Alan took out a metal amulet. "This is a Communication Amulet, which can provide information transmission services. As long as magic is channeled into one amulet, the corresponding amulet will flash and vibrate. Currently, its working range covers the entire territory of Britain. This amulet has two modes: one-to-many communication and many-to-many communication."

"The one-to-many function involves setting one amulet as the master and the others as sub-amulets. A stable connection allows for simple information transmission. Next, I will personally demonstrate it to you."

Alan took out five amulets, kept one for himself, and handed the remaining four to Minister Bagnold and the three Department Heads.

"The one in my hand is the master amulet, and yours are the sub-amulets. We can set up command codes beforehand. For example, activating it once means safety, twice means detecting the enemy, and three times means the operation is going smoothly. There is also an emergency communication module. If the amulet is damaged, or if a large amount of magic is channeled into it at once, it will immediately send an emergency signal to the entire network. This manifests as a flashing red light, heat, and heavy vibration. Furthermore, the sensing amulet can point to the last location where the signal appeared."

As Alan spoke, he channeled magic into the master amulet, and the amulets in the hands of the Minister and the Department Heads gave the corresponding feedback. Finally, Alan pulsed a large amount of magic all at once, and the amulets in their hands began to heat up, glow, and vibrate.
