It all started when our school announced a field trip for the entire Grade 10 batch.
The moment the news spread, the whole class exploded with excitement. Backpacks were packed days in advance.
Everyone showed up dressed in their cutest outfits. Selfies were taken. Laughter filled the hallway. Even the teachers seemed more relaxed than usual.
Mrs. Lee stood at the front, trying to calm everyone down.
"Are we all ready?" she asked, raising her voice just enough to be heard over the chaos.
"Of course, Miss! Can we get this trip started already?" the entire class shouted together.
Some people even screamed out of pure excitement.
Mrs. Lee laughed. "Alright, alright. Let's get going."
And that's when everything began.
Because none of us knew that this trip would change everything.
