The city apartment.
"Kelly, I did it! I got accepted!"
Daniel pushed the door open and could not wait to tell Kelly the good news.
Kelly burst into tears of joy, her vision blurring.
She choked out,
"You did it!"
"From the very first moment I met you, I knew that no chains could ever bind your wings."
Daniel smiled and pulled her into his arms.
"Kelly, once I make something of myself, we'll move into a bigger house. It'll face the sea. We'll be able to hear the waves singing as they strike the reefs, and see the first flower of spring bloom before the window."
"Mm!"
Kelly nodded heavily. Tears were still flowing, yet the corners of her mouth had already curved into a crescent moon.
"However, I need to go to the company headquarters for a six-month internship. After six months, I'll return to your side."
"I'll stay here and wait for your return."
Kelly paused, then asked worriedly,
"But… do you still have enough money?"
