Adrian groaned lightly, though he didn't pull away. "Stop. Don't 'baby' me."
"But you are my baby from now on," Matteo teased, his voice low and vibrating with a rare trace of affection.
"Suit yourself," Adrian muttered. "Now get off me. I want to clean up."
"No," Matteo said, wrapping his arms even tighter around Adrian, pinning him to the sheets. He stayed silent for a moment before speaking again. "In the morning, before you leave... I want to introduce my twin brother to you."
Adrian went still. His heart gave a strange thump in his chest as he processed the words. He thought back to the man he had seen briefly in the hallway, the one who looked exactly like the man holding him now.
Finally, Adrian thought. I'll get to see him again.
A heavy silence filled the room. After a moment, Matteo released him, allowing Adrian to stand.
"I need a shower," Adrian muttered, his voice still a bit raspy.
"I'm coming with you," Matteo said. He didn't ask; he just followed.
