"No," Adrian yelled. "I'm not staying here. Take me home."
Matteo didn't argue. He reached in, grabbed his arm, and pulled him out in one rough motion.
"Let go of me!" Adrian shouted, stumbling as his feet hit the concrete. "I want to go back to my house. It's not that hard to understand, Matteo. Are you deaf or what? Can't you hear me?"
Matteo stepped closer, his voice low and controlled. "Don't push me more than you already have tonight, Adrian. Walk… or I'll make you."
Adrian saw the flicker of real darkness in Matteo's eyes and felt a chill. He moved, stomping toward the entrance.
They walked inside.
The place is different.
Bigger. Quieter. Guards were everywhere, different faces, different suits, and the maids moved silently through the halls. It felt more locked down than the last place.
They went upstairs to a large bedroom. The door shut behind them with a soft click.
