"It's okay," Adrian murmured, continuing to run his hand over Matteo's shoulders. "You have me now. You don't have to carry this alone."
They lay in the quiet for a long moment, the tension slowly draining from Matteo's frame under Adrian's touch.
Then, Matteo's voice broke the silence, sudden and unyielding.
"Move in with me."
Adrian's hand paused mid-stroke, his breath catching in his throat.
Matteo looked up, his gaze intense as he searched Adrian's eyes for an answer. He held it for a long, heavy moment before repeating, "Baby… move in with me."
Adrian's pulse quickened. He knew that saying no felt like a rejection, especially after everything Matteo had just confessed. He took a shaky breath, trying to find the right words. "Are we not taking this slow anymore? We just started dating. It hasn't even been that long, and... honestly, we still have so many things to settle between us… we still…"
Matteo didn't let him finish. "Baby, move in with me."
