Maya looked up, her gaze sharp as she scanned his face. "Hey," she replied, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What took you so long? Do you have a visitor?"
Adrian was caught off guard by the question, but he gathered his courage and answered, "Yes… my boyfriend is here."
Maya's head snapped up, her eyes widening in shock at the blunt answer.
She stared at her brother in stunned silence, her mouth parting as if to speak, but no words came.
