"You're all too scared. Honestly, I don't understand why the boss is so obsessed with him. I hate the way he acts. He's always pouting, always sulking whenever something doesn't go his way. He's a grown man. He should act like one."
Valery's expression hardened immediately.
"If you want to die a fast death, keep telling people how much you hate Adrian," Valery warned, her voice dropping into a deadly serious whisper. "If a single word of your bitterness ever reaches the boss's ears, consider your life over. I don't know why you're so miserable about someone else's relationship."
Bella folded her arms.
"Don't speak to me like that. You might be my senior, but I'm older than you. It's my opinion, and I'm allowed to say what I can't stand."
"Quiet. Your opinion doesn't matter," Valery snapped, her voice dropping into a serious whisper. "The boss doesn't tolerate anyone speaking badly about Sir Adrian."
She stepped closer, fixing Bella with a hard stare.
