LUCA'S POV
The terrace air had turned too cold. I nodded towards the house.
"Let's just go in, Serena. So you won't catch a cold."
She took a long look at me and then followed me inside the house without much argument. I took her straight to my room instead of hers. I opened the door, turned the light on for her and then stepped aside.
She looked at me, a bewildered expression on her face.
"Um… am I sleeping in your room tonight?
"Yes."
"I can stay in mine. It's fine. You don't have to worry about me,I can manage."
"No, Serena. It doesn't feel safe for me to leave you alone for that long."
I heard her mutter, "Oh so this is about you."
She must have gotten that wrongly.
"Enemies attack mostly at night and now given….your position, you're more susceptible to these kind of attacks. I'd be damned if I ever let a person lay their finger on you. In my own house."
She raises her head at me and looks at me more intently.
