Chloe Sinclair was a little surprised. "You didn't go home for the New Year?"
"Yeah, the Winter Games are about to start, so none of us went back this year."
Chloe understood.
Even if they did go back, they'd probably be too distracted to enjoy the holiday.
After they finished chatting, an awkward silence fell between them, neither knowing what to say next.
Shawn Styles, in particular, looked like he had more to say but couldn't get the words out.
Chloe asked, "What's wrong?"
Shawn Styles said, "Are you dating that Mr. Shaw?"
"Yes."
Chloe added, "I've also met his parents."
When Shawn Styles heard this, for some reason, he felt a faint sense of disappointment.
But he said, "Congratulations."
Chloe gave a polite nod and changed the subject. "Want to go for a run?"
Of course, Shawn Styles was there to run. But the ground was slippery, so for safety, they didn't go very fast. In an hour, they only managed twenty laps around the area.
