But both the father and son duo were adamant that the sweet section had to be bought from outside, the normal foods could be done quickly since there were only around twenty to thirty people attending the event but sweet making was very tiring and long endeavor.
Kavitha wanted to do them herself too but noticing the strict expressions on both of them she shut up and started making a list for the ingredients needed for the feast.
Arjun meanwhile went to visit Lalitha to inform her about the sweets and shields matter. Lalitha who heard about the new tasks offloaded them onto Balram's head as she felt it was too tiring to travel for around six hours just to get some items without any proper tasks but then she remembered another matter and questioned Arjun about it.
That's alright Arjun but what about the villagers?
Villagers? what about them? Arjun questioned back not understanding what she was getting at.
Well since most of the villagers will know about the event wont we not giving them anything on the event day leave a bad impression on them?
Arjun now understood what she was talking about and was thankful for his new assistant to remind him about this matter as it would be embarrassing if he realized about this issue on the event day.
He thought a lot about how to gift something to the villagers but not make it too awkward for them. Since his mother was handling the task of food making it was out of the question to invite them all for the feast.
Giving some absurd unusable gift or some steel utensils for name sake was not Arjun's style either. He came to the conclusion that gifting a set of sweets was the better for the occasion as they were celebrating a success event as well as start of another book so distributing sweets was very appropriate and since there were only around five hundred households in their village it would not make a dent in their finances.
Arjun hurried back to his home and made a call to Shan masood and informed him about his current situation. Shan who understood his plight suggested their sweet gift pack which costed fifteen rupees per box which he was willing to offer at thirteen rupees a box as a friendship discount which pleased Arjun a lot.
Arjun then returned back to Balram and informed him about the extra items and asked if he would need any extra helpers but when Balram started flexing his biceps he understood where this conversation was heading to and glanced at Lalitha to signal her to make sure Balram does not forget about this matter and Arjun returned back to his home and informed them about the new plan.
Both Pratap and Kavitha were satisfied with the new development as they too felt not gifting anything to the villagers would make things awkward in the future.
The next day once the school was done Arjun went to visit the construction site at the beachside, although there was nobody there as it was already evening and the workers went back Arjun could see the support pillars already installed and only the sheds were left to be placed on top and welded.
Arjun then left to visit the houses of his seniors who helped in making the question banks and solution booklets and invited their households for the event.
Even though it would increase the number of attendees it would also serve as an acknowledgement of their hard work. Though the income from these two branches was considerably smaller than what they made from All in Ones they were the ones who did the most work in proofreading all the works.
Once he was done with all the invites it was already nearing eight and Arjun had one last thing left to do before returning to his house.
He hurried to the nearby temple and since the village priest lived next to it Arjun went there and informed him about the event and invited him to do the initiation ceremony and offered a fee of two hundred rupees which the priest rejected immediately and instead asked Arjun to donate to the temple if he ever had the capacity to do so.
Arjun was impressed by this priest. He had not met many people who would willingly turn down pay for donation but still offered the fee and mentioned he would not forget about the donation matter. The priest still rejected but upon Arjun's insistence reluctantly accepted the fee.
The next day Arjun met up with Bhargav during the lunch break and mentioned about the air cooler matter. Since the event was going to be held in the morning and considering the high heats of summer especially in their humid sea shore environment Arjun felt the need to arrange some air coolers for the event.
Bhargav then mentioned there were not many companies which lent coolers for hire and perhaps they would need to pay extra considering they were going to host this on a beach which could negatively impact their performance.
Arjun felt what he made sense but did not have any other options, he could not just buy them for a single event after all and even if he wanted to he was sure Pratap would take his belt off he ever gets a sniff about it.
Arjun then implored Bhargav to get this done as soon as possible not caring about the cost issue as the event was only three and half days away. When Arjun returned back to home he could see many children playing around Sari and none of them were from their neighborhood.
As he approached the children noticing him ran and hugged him and implored Arjun to return the bangle back to Sari. Arjun was taken aback by the kids words and sat down and asked them what had happened.
He learned that Sari had apologized as promised and even went as far as doing so in front of their teacher in the middle of class. When the kids then got to know about the bangle matter from Sari they felt sad for her as they too played a part in the bangle being confiscated by the school so they accompanied her back to her home to let Arjun know that they were all chummy with Sari once again.
Arjun was impressed by how quick kids could accept and reject stuff and was happy with how Sari handled the matter. He returned to home and brought out the bangle and personally wore it on Sari's hand which made all the kids around scream in happiness as well.
Arjun then took all of them to the nearby general store and bought a bag of chocolates so they could share among themselves which Sari did so aptly. Arjun was very satisfied with how his sister could change in just a few words and felt perhaps his past life would have been vastly different too if his parents were still around.
He then played around them for a while and noticing the sun going down he implored them to return back to homes and sent them back alongside Sari after which they returned back to their home.
Once they returned back Sari started flaunting her bangle in front of mom and dad but noticing the stern stare from Arjun she hurriedly snapped her hand back and returned to her room making a mischievous expression wagging her tongue out.
Arjun then had to explain to his parents about why the school had to take the bangle and how he resolved it which made them even more happier.
Especially Pratap, he was sure even he could not have handled the issue as maturely as Arjun did and fondled Arjun's head in loving manner while Kavitha was thinking about her teaching matters too and felt she too could borrow a couple of leaves from how Arjun dealt with the issue.
The next day Kavitha handed Arjun a long list off all the ingredients. Arjun who had never experienced a family event started regretting his choice of letting his mom volunteer for this and felt hiring a catering firm would have been a much better choice.
He then carried the list to Lalitha who took the list and noticing the expression on her brother's and Arjun's face laughed out loud.
Balram was adamant he could not do this alone and asked for a helper and Arjun mentioned he could take the help of Bhargav as that guy was enjoying his idle time since the factory was not yet open.
Balram was relieved at least he did not have to do this alone and thanked Arjun and asked Arjun for the payment for all these stuff which made Arjun return back from his house with a new cheque in his hand. They informed Arjun that the construction of temporary event shed was already done while Lalitha mentioned Bhargav had already done the job of renting out the coolers for the event and they would arrive the next day.
