Even though it was a day early Arjun did not mind it one bit and asked a cooler to be delivered to his home as he had almost forgot the feeling of sleeping under a cooler after his rebirth and wanted to experience it again.
The next day Arjun did not have much left to do about the event preparation as most of the tasks were already delegated to others so his parents forced him to sit at the desk again. How he wished he had left some tasks out for the day but it was already too late to regret.
He went to the beachside along with Pratap to show him the event setup which was very simple stage and a shed and nothing else. When Pratap mentioned about the decoration Arjun felt he handed him a pink slip to get away from his work but Lalitha who had just come there mentioned she already took care of the matters as she had already ordered the necessary flowers and a hanging banner about the success meet.
Since Arjun wanted to keep the meeting simple there wasn't a need to do more than what Lalitha had already mentioned still he promised her that he would help her out in decoration on the next day in front of his father which brought out the angry expression on Pratap's face but since his son had already said it out loud he couldn't deny it while Lalitha quickly escaped the scene giggling to herself. How could she not know Arjun was trying to skimp on the study sessions.
The father and son duo then went to the other construction location where they spotted Balram sorting things out. Arjun then mentioned about the grocery and sweet delivery and asked Pratap to hand him keys so that they could leave early in the morning to town considering the six hour commute.
Balram then wanted to speak to Arjun about the new security recruits but noticing Arjun's sidelong glance he quickly shut up while Arjun sent his father away using some excuse and joined Balram to enquire about the issue.
Balram mentioned that the two extra friends from army were already enroute and would reach their village by the event day. Arjun felt much more relieved after hearing this update still calming his parents down on the event day was another headache he had to deal with.
The next day Balram and Bhargav left to town in their new ambassador and Madan's jeep as they were too many items to fill in the small ambassador's trunk after taking the cheque of fifteen thousand rupees from Arjun for all the goods, decoration flowers and banner included.
Arjun meanwhile followed his routine of going to school where he slept for half the day and played book cricket with Karan rest of the time. By the time Arjun and Sari returned home the air cooler was already in their home and Arjun took Sari to sit in front of the cooler to get their body temperatures down after the hard day at school.
This was Saritha's first time seeing a air cooler and she tried to stay far away and sat alongside Arjun enjoying the cool breeze for a while and bombarded him with questions about the cooler.
Upon learning that it was not something dangerous she took a couple of rounds around it and tried to pull the wet hey from the side but when Arjun mentioned it was rented and they could be charged extra if she damaged something Sari came back and sat there silently for a while after which she quickly got bored and went out to play with her friends while Arjun still wanted to stay a bit longer.
It was then that he remembered his promise to Lalitha about the decoration and he couldn't see his mother around either so he hurried there after locking the house and handing the keys to their neighbor the one next to Lalitha's home.
As he walked towards the event shed Arjun could see his mother along with some other ladies from the village cutting the vegetables and getting the ingredients ready for the upcoming day while Lalitha and another lady were busy decorating the shed.
Arjun went to help them out but he was too short to do anything and had to stick to handing stuff out to them which got him bored out of his mind quickly so he left making up some excuse after he felt the decoration was already going very well.
He wanted to help his mother but got shooed away as soon as he neared her as Kavitha felt it was too dangerous for kids to be around knifes and vegetable cutters.
Arjun disappointed went to find Karan but when Pramila his mom informed Arjun that Karan was still at the press Arjun was even more depressed. It was then that Bhargav came there with an excited expression on his face and when Arjun questioned him Bhargav replied that Madan had gotten the local MLA seat for the opposition party which got Arjun excited too.
Finally he was going to have someone from his close circle inside the parliament soon. Even though the ruling party was going hold the house for the upcoming fifteen years after the next term, opposition were going to win the next term which was all that mattered to Arjun, he could convince Madan to jump ship once the upcoming term was over.
They both hurried to Madan to inform him about this matter. Madan who was busy with his work was surprised to find these two in such excitement but when he learned of the matter he too leaped up in joy and quickly took out some chocolates from his drawer and handed them to Arjun and Bhargava s he did not have any sweets to gift.
Arjun was even more excited than Madan after all this news came at the perfect time, with the event on the next day the chief guest being MLA competitor would add considerable weightage to their event.
Meanwhile Madan questioned Bhargav about how he got to know of the matter as he himself was still in the unknown. Bhargav replied saying Tharun had informed him which was very reasonable since the union was already involved in the party affairs and since Tharun knew Bhargav was working under Madan he paid extra attention to this matter.
Madan then bid them farewell and went to inform Pramila and his other close friends about this matter while Arjun and Bhargav went to the beachside to catch a breath. Although Bhargav felt a bit sad for not being under Madan he quickly got over it noticing the excited kid next to him and was looking forward to his future more and more. He was sure that Madan would help them out if there was a necessity so it did not really matter whether he worked under him or not.
Arjun then mentioned to Bhargav about their upcoming trip to Vishakhapatnam after the next weekend as their machinery were finally being delivered and he asked Bhargav to make sure the local transformer was installed before then so as to not waste any more time after that.
When he enquired about the additional machinery Bhargav replied they would soon be delivered within the next week as his friend was already done with the negotiation and it was just a matter of transportation.
Together they went to Lalitha's home as Arjun wanted to check out the shields that were going to be given out. Although Arjun felt they were too old fashioned Bhargav mentioned that they were the latest style and showed off the engravings after which Arjun took a couple of sweet boxes which they ordered in extra and carried them to Madan's home and personally fed one to Madan and handed him the extra boxes to distribute as he wished.
Madan was very thankful to Arjun about this as even if he commissioned their local sweet vendor a new order it would take at least a day which would be too late as Arjun was any way going to distribute sweets to the entire village next day.
After making sure everything was ready and revisiting his mother's side Arjun returned to his home to enjoy the cooler and took a small nap but just as he was about to go into sleep Sari entered the house and started pulling him to play with her.
With no other choice Arjun joined the kids in playing hop skip for a while after which he sat on the side admiring the kids stamina while forgetting the fact that he was still a kid too.
Pratap and Kavitha came late as they still had stuff to do so Sari got extra playtime while Arjun enjoyed the night sea breeze. Once their father was back though he forcefully dragged Sari back into home while she was still ranting about wanting to play more. The entire family had their dinner and arranged their beds next to the cooler and went to sleep.
