Chapter 72 - Transfer of shares

Once both were on stage Arjun gave a brief introduction to how much Mallesh was essential in making everything come together and he especially thanked both the father and son duo for spending more time at the press than at their homes in the past three months.

Sari then brought out some documents which Arjun promptly handed to Madan for his signature. All the people who were present what this was about and then Arjun announced the deed.

Let me take this moment to congratulate Mallesh as from this moment on he is no longer just an employee but also the co-owner of our PK press company as i am transferring three percent of my shares to the father and son duo.

Let me remind you again, it was all due to their hard work and i feel they would be let down if i overlooked their contribution and months of sleepless nights after out success.

This move made Mallesh's eye fill with tears while his son Rohan Yadav was already crying hugging his wife. They had never thought Arjun would follow up with his promise of handing them shares and that too so soon. They had heard of many such empty promises made to their friends from the business owners and never took Arjun's words seriously, Their families were already very happy with the increased wages and relaxed village environment unlike the rush city lifestyle and now that they too became real part of leadership it brought immense pride about themselves.

Mallesh in particular knew what this change entailed more than any other person in the event. After all he had toiled his entire life but could not even amass enough money to buy a few acres of land let alone starting a small scale printing press, And here he was being offered three percent stake in a medium scale printing press and more importantly one that made a profit of around fifteen to twenty lakhs in just three months after it's founding.

If the press could go on a similar pace as it was doing which he too knew was almost impossible it would mean their family would get a dividend of around two and half lakh rupees per year. For a family who was making only two thousand rupees a month this was life changing amount of money. From now on he could roam with his chin held high among the same people who had mocked them for leaving a town and moving back to a village.

The spectators meanwhile did not get much about the monetary side of things but could still understand that this was a monumental decision. At least they had never heard about regular management staff getting a share in the company stocks.

Saheri who was the most educated among all the people present was the only one who had heard of such things happening but most of them were to attract famous scientists or people who had immense experience in the field. This was the first time she too was seeing someone normal making life settling wealth with just a single signature. In her opinion Arjun was taking things too far and there was absolutely no need to do so and he could have just given out some monetary bonus to thank them for the hard work if he felt the need to thank them so much. Perhaps this genius in business had his downsides as well she imagined.

Madan on the other hand could understand what this precedence meant and he too decided to replicate such policy in his own companies. While Saheri who was more of a scientist than a business person could only see one side of stuff Madan who was also a politician could grasp intent behind Arjun's move.

Just one look at the faces of Bhargav, Lalitha or any of the kids in attendance explained how much this served too boost their morale and remind them that Arjun would never disregard their contributions. Bhargav's face among all of them was worthwhile to look at.

After all Madan, Arjun and Bhargav knew what Bhargav had given up when choosing Arjun's side over Madan's and this move of Arjun reaffirmed his choices. Bhargav was sure Arjun would do the same if he could take the dairy beverage factory to the same level and decided to dedicate all of his time to the factory works from now on.

He unlike the father and son duo could spend even more time as he was not yet married and did not have any extra affiliations. Lalitha and Balram meanwhile were happy for the father and son duo from the bottom of their hearts.

After spending so much time with Arjun and his family this was all they could wish for. Surprisingly not a single person in attendance was jealous of the Yadav family after Arjun's earlier explanation of why he decided to hand the shares to them and the kids who got the scholarships had stars in their eyes.

If they could some how land jobs under Arjun, with how Arjun treated their fellow villagers they too were sure they would not be overlooked and they too decided to give it their all in the upcoming years to become the best version of themselves.

Shiva Ram meanwhile was on another dimension right now, even though Arjun had promised him the shares in the new beverage factory in front of people he had always had his own doubts but Arjun's move made all of his previous doubts vanish in an instant.

He was wondering whether it was the right time to leak the news to his parents but he decide to hold back after thinking more about it as he knew how disappointed they would get if this doesn't happen later on. Perhaps after spending so much time with Arjun this was something he caught onto, to not leak the news until the right time.

Arjun and Madan who were observing all this from the stage gave a smile to each other while Arjun was thanking his father in his heart. He initially wanted to this handover behind closed doors in the upcoming meeting where he was going to announce the figures but Pratap scolded him when he learnt of the matter and made Arjun do so in front of everyone.

Arjun who was from the future knew every new startup had employee shares reserved at founding but he had looked over the fact that such firms still do not exist in the present timeline. He was absolutely sure that this move send waves in the nearby business circles attracting more competent workers to his firms in the future as this news gets circulated more and more. After all this was three percent shares which although might be negligible to people like Madan, Saheri or Vladimir to the common folks this was generational wealth and Arjun would sure it would turn even more eyes once their new manga series starts getting published.

Perhaps he could have given lesser amount of shares but this thought did not sit well with Arjun as most of the work was done by the father and son duo while he just lazed around in the village and in town on weekends. He wanted Rohan too to give his best in upcoming productions and not laze around as he was now the owner and made sure to announce his thoughts out loud and clear.

The father and son duo who were in the happy land till now woke up from their dreams and promised they would also give their best in front of everyone present. Mallesh was almost about to bend down to touch Arjun's feet but Arjun stopped him midway and gave him a tight hug saying not to disrespect the family hierarchy with such acts. Mallesh who was already trying to hold his tears broke down in Arjun's hands as his last words meant more than any shares Arjun had already given him.

This was quite funny as well as touching to all the people present to watch a old guy breaking down in the hands of a ten year old kid but they too could understand what had caused Mallesh to do so. Although they could not hear what they discussed they felt it must have been touching enough to move the old man.

Luckily Sari quickly broke down the somber atmosphere just as Arjun was wondering what to do to return the meeting to normalcy by offering a chocolate she had in her hands mentioning she would only hand the chocolate over if the old man stopped crying which made everyone present laugh out loud while the confused Sari quickly handed over the candy and scurried away in embarrassment as she did not know what she had done to receive so many laughs.

Arjun then invited everyone to the lunch session while he alongside Lalitha, Balram and Bhargav handled the serving of food. Even though it was not five star level, everyone had nothing but compliments about the biryani Kavitha made and the chilled buttermilk at the end. When they came to know this was the new product of the upcoming beverage factory they already started complimenting Arjun for another successful venture.
