"You say that you stitched this embroidery piece by hand then how come Ye Shin Ye's name is written boldly at the back of the embroidery piece?" Ye Shin Ye's father yelled.
"Impossible!" Ye Shin Ah said as she shook her head uncontrollably.
"I stitched this embroidery piece by hand, how can it suddenly bear her name?" Ye Shin Ah said with a wail.
"It must be her!" Ye Shin Ah said as she pointed at Ye Shin Ye accusingly.
"She must have done this to frame me!" Ye Shin Ah said in a loud voice.
"Frame you?" A noble woman said as she smacked her hand on the table before her and stood up.
"Do you take us as idiots?!" the noble woman exploded and Ye Shin shook her head pitifully.
"Only the most talented of embroiderers can sew in their names without ruining the embroidery piece itself. The crane is lifelike and everything from the pine trees to the sun embroidered in the embroidery piece is perfect, the only logical reason why these things could remain as they are is because Ye Shin Ye embroidery this piece herself!" the noble woman yelled.
"As expected of the madam of the biggest embroidery store in all of Da Xia region." Shen Xiatang said with a smirk and Ye Shin Ye had to stop herself from smirking.
Slamming his hand onto the table in anger, Ye Shin Ye's father said "Do you still deny that this embroidery piece is Ye Shin Ye's?"
"I wouldn't dare." Ye Shin Ah said as she did a formal bow with her head to the ground.
"Ye Shin Ah knows she was wrong for taking big sister's embroidery piece but Ye Shin Ah just wanted to impress grandmother." Ye Shin Ah said in a tearful tone as she trembled on the floor.
"Ye Shin Ah is from the countryside and has no special talents that's why Ye Shin Ah begged sister to give me her artwork." Ye Shin Ah said in a sad tone and the crowd began to sway.
"She has the right spirit, she just executed it in the wrong way." the crowd began to mutter.
"Come, come." Ye Shin Ye's grandmother said to Ye Shin Ah and Ye Shin Ah shakily got up.
"Ye Shin Ah is still rough around the edges but it doesn't change the fact that she is such a filial child." Ye Shin Ah's grandmother said as she patted Ye Shin Ah's hands in hers.
"Learn to forgive her." Ye Shin Ye's mother told her husband as she tried her best to soothe him but just when Ye Shin Ye's father's anger was waning, Lan Zhi burst into the banquet hall in panic.
"What a wonderful performance given by the second Miss of the Ye family residence. Truly exceptional." Shen Xiatang mused as she floated beside Ye Shin Ye.
"But if the second Miss of the Ye family is known to escape every problem by being pitiful, how then will her truths ever be distinguished from her lies." Shen Xiatang said with a mischievous grin.
"Bad news young miss. The scroll that you specially prepared for the old madam has been stolen and the thief, thinking he had lost I and the guards that chased after him, ran straight into the second Miss's living quarters!" Lan Zhi said and the crowd gasped.
"Sister I know that you must have been anxious when you heard of the second gift I prepared for grandmother but sending someone to steal it, to make me look like an unfilial child is simply too much." Ye Shin Ye said in a pitiful tone.
"How could the second Miss of the Ye family be so vicious?" the crowd muttered.
"Not only did she pass off the first gift made by her big sister as hers, she also devised a plan to steal the second gift." the crowd muttered.
"Ye Shin Ah!" Ye Shin Ye's father yelled in disappointment.
"Do you really take me for a fool?" Ye Shin Ye's father asked in rage and Ye Shin Ah quickly fell down to her knees in horror.
"Father I didn't, I didn't." Ye Shin Ah said and Ye Shin Ye hid her smirk with her sleeves.
"There must be a mistake." Ye Shin Ah's mother said as she went to kneel down next to her daughter.
"My Ye Shin Ah is definitely not capable of doing such a thing." Ye Shin Ah's mother declared but Ye Shin Ah's father was already too emotional.
"Anyone there!, anyone there!" Ye Shin Ye's father shouted and two male servants appeared.
"Go to the second Miss's room and bring back anything that looks like a scroll!" Ye Shin Ye's father ordered and the male servants nodded.
After 10 minutes of the crowd holding their breaths in anticipation, the male servants came into the banquet hall with a square box that contained a scroll and all the jewelry that Ye Shin Ah took from Ye Shin Ye.
Ignoring the scroll and heading straight for the jewellery, Ye Shin Ye's father asked Ye Shin Ye "Are these not the jewelry specially prepared for you by your mother before she passed away?" and once Ye Shin Ye nodded, Ye Shin Ye's father slammed his hand on the box in anger and all the jewelry came tumbling down.
"Ye Shin Ah, what do you have to say for yourself?" Ye Shin Ye's father asked as he glared at Ye Shin Ah.
"Not only did you pass off your older sisters embroidery piece as yours, you devised a plan to steal her scroll and now I find out that you also stole things specially prepared for her by her mother." Ye Shin Ye's father said as he pointed to all the jewelry on the ground.
"What else have you done to your big sister that I am unaware of?" Ye Shin Ye's father asked and Ye Shin Ah began to tremble in fear.
